"Items Missing -- They Do Not Care"
I recently used this company to pack and move my items to a new location. Unfortunately, they failed to pack everything. I noticed a few things were missing, but my main complaint was that they did not pack my sewing machine. I am an evangelist, and the sewing machine was purchased brand-new from my mother. I was going to be using the machine to sew baptism robes for my ministry. Well, after going through all the boxes, I noticed that my machine had not been brought to my house. I contacted them and made them awarre of the situation. After waiting for a week, someone finally called and the lady told me to get a snapshot of the machine on Amazon and they would pay me something like $.60 on the dollar per pound -- or something to that effect. Well, I did what she said only to get another email stating that they would not be compensating me for the lost items. I kindly let the lady know that they were not cheating me, but they had done this to God. May they reap what they have sewn because I did not do anything wrong other than hiring them. I would not recommend them if you want to be sure that ALL of your items are packed and loaded to go to your home. Evangelist Rich

This was my 4th time hiring movers for interstate and local moves. They all went very smoothly without issue. However, the last move was 22 years ago.
I got quotes from different companies to move items from a 5 bedroom fully furnished home of 22 years. All requested photos of the items to be moved or a video walk through of the home so that they had a visual of the items. The person from My Porter asked a few questions about the items in the home but did not request photos or video documentation or ask very specific questions. I assumed that they are the experts and should have known what would be required to complete the job.
I went with the quote from My Porter because it was the lowest and they had good reviews on Home Advisor. They promised two 30 ft trucks and 5 guys to complete the move. The arrived a little later than expected but that was not an issue. There were 5 guys with 2 U-Haul trucks, not a truck labeled My Porter, one was larger than the other. The only supplies there the blankets supplied by U-Haul, some tape and a roll of shrink wrap. The guys worked hard and moved my items onto the trucks. However, when they neared the end, I was informed that there was not enough room on the trucks for all my items. There was furniture, boxes and the refrigerator that remained in the home.
The Gentlemen supervising the move called their office to advise them of the situation. Suddenly it became my issue because "there were items being moved that were not on their “inventory list”. 10 hours from the start, they completed the partial move. The supervisor indicated that they had another move the next day, but they could come to complete the move after they finished “if I wanted them to”. I agreed.
I did not hear from anyone until over 1 month later and only because I sent them an email. The final charges were higher than quoted. All the young lady on the phone did was attempt to justify their actions by saying that they did not promise two 30 ft trucks. In my mind, there was no plausible justification as they are supposed to be the experts. My issue was not the price. I would have paid more since I know I had a lot of items to move. I hired them to do a job and they did not complete it. Their lack of concern or follow-up says a lot about their customer “no service”. I ended up having to rent a 25ft U-Haul truck and pay some guys to complete the move.
I would not recommend My Porter based on the overall lack of service I received.

"TERRIBLE COMPANY...DON'T DO BUSINESS!!"
I would give this company 0 stars but it want allow me. Just to warn you, This company is terrible. Please stay away from MyPorter. These guys damaged several of my items. The owners lost several of my items and stated they were all delivered, After I threaten to involve the police the owner John stated he will look no need to involve police. He sent me a text, a day later stating he found my items and would deliver. However, he found some of my items. There were several boxes missing and he still would not own up to it. I yelled, "how can you guys lose my items when I'm paying monthly for you to store my items." These items are suppose to be stored together, not with anyone else items. I kept my items in storage for a year before moving into my place. Was late on a few payments but still paid. John seemed to think because of not tacking on late charges justifies the damages and lost items. Also threaten me after I told them I will be taking them to small claims court. Stating I owe lien fees (that's impossible because I was 3-7 days late for 3 payments and never heard a lien fee or disassembly fees) that never ever came up until I stated I'm taking them to court. This guy is a jerk. Reported this company to BBB. On top of all this the guys lost my screws to put up my bed. They did not assemble my bed. I had to go toe-to-toe with the owners about this. About a week later they purchased screws to assembled my bed. Lastly my mattress was drug on the ground. It was dirty and black. I had to get it professionally cleaned. I mean this company is not professional at all! Broken crystals, glass, sculptures, vases. Cloths missing, wall décor, and so much more. Just disgusted with this company. I'm still feeling the pain of my mothers broken crystals and items I work hard for. STAY AWAY!!!

Excellent customer service!! From booking their service over the phone, to the movers who helped move me out of my condo, everything was a positive experience! Nick, Fred, and Donnell were very careful with my furniture and very detailed oriented to ensure everything was wrapped and packed carefully. Would love to have the same movers help me into my new house once it's time to move in. Overall, five star experience!
