"Friendly service"
My son I travelled down from Aberdeenshire in search of a digital piano. The assistant at Red Dog was very helpful and patient as I tried out a number of pianos. There was no “hard sell” to make a purchase. Returning home, I remained in contact with the shop and when I felt ready to order, contacted Red Dog. A few days later, the piano arrived and the whole family have been enjoying it. Thank you for your friendly and excellent service.

"Mackie Gear"
I recently purchased a Mackie mixer and pair of speakers through Red Dog. I was initially going to purchase the equipment from an alternative online retailer due to the price but decided to contact Red Dog. I was quickly contacted by Gary who was able to supply same gear and match the price which I really appreciated. The staff are all very helpful and the shop has a great chilled atmosphere. Will definitely be back. Thanks Red Dog!

"A bracket on our Roland electronic drum…"
A bracket on our Roland electronic drum kit broke meaning one drum was unusable. Rather than having to replace the whole drum pad, they managed to source a replacement bracket direct from Roland, taking the cost from over £100 down to £7.95.

"Korg G1 Air & Edinburgh Store Review"
I purchased a Korg G1 Air from the Edinburgh branch of Red Dog Music several months ago. The process leading up to purchasing this piano was greatly facilitated by Will (who answered a significant number of questions with patience, professionalism, friendliness, and knowledge!). His cusomter service was excellent, without being pushy - exactly what I would hope a store like Red Dog to provide.
The piano itself was something that it took me a while to decide on in part because no one seemed to have a display model and in part because there seemed to be few reviews online about it. I was extremely interested in it because it a) fit in the very small space I had to give to a piano and b) seemed to have a significant number of high quality features for the price. Even so, it felt risky to try to buy a piano that I hadn't actually played on ever. In the end, I decided to go for it, and I am very happy to report that after several months of playing on it that I am extremely happy with my choice to purchase this instrument.
The sound quality of the different pianos is, in my opinion, excellent, both through the speakers and head phones (and I say this as someone who was fortunate enough to grow up playing on a baby grand).
Before purchasing it I played on many of the higher quality models by Yamaha, Roland, and Casio. However, I didn't go for these brands for several reasons. Firstly, very few of them actually offered a high quality model that would fit in the narrow space I had to give to a piano. Secondly, of those that were available, I wasn't sufficiently convinced by their sounds relative to the price. Thirdly, I found that I preferred the keyboard found on the G1 Air (which I could test, thanks to it also being on the Kronos). It may not be exactly like playing on a grand piano, but it feels great.
Having now played the G1 Air for a while, I can say that the degree of adjustability on the G1 Air sounds is also worth commenting on. It's useful to have some degree of customizability without it being overly complicated. I really like this feature since I was purchasing the G1 Air to be a piano and nothing else really. In addition to the excellent pianos, the Korg G1 Air includes various other instruments. They aren't of any particular concern to me for the most part, but I would like to highlight that there are two organ sounds on it that are stunning (grand/pipe). I was blown away by them, and because their quality wasn't even a consideration when I was purchasing the instrument, that is like icing on the cake.
The piano fits in an incredibly small space, and looks great.
In my few months' of playing the G1 Air so far, my only slight criticism is that I have to watch how closely I sit to the keyboard so that my knees don't bang into one of the speakers. All in all, though, that is a very trivial thing to raise. I also have found nothing to contradict the very lengthy review written by AZ Piano News Blogspot. In short, I highly recommend this piano AND I highly recommend purchasing it from Red Dog -ask Will for help - he's great! Hopefully the Edinburgh store can get a demo model in so people can play on it before deciding to purchase it :).
