My wife had recently had her eye test, using Marks and Spencer opticians, in Braehead, for the first time. As she was very happy with the service she received, and my eye test was overdue, I decided to book an appointment for myself.

These days, you would think that all eye tests would be much the same, and technically, I suppose that they probably are. However, I was particularly impressed with Laura, the optician, who unlike most opticians, explained everything she was doing, as she went along.

She said that I was performing the various tests well, whilst wearing my glasses, and that there would only be a minimal improvement, if I had a new pair made. This was a very different experience, to previous visits at other opticians.

Therefore, I can highly recommended.

Had a hearing test at M&S High Wycombe yesterday and was left wondering where customer service had gone! The person doing the testing was like a robot: she didn't smile once, spouted facts and figures by rote, had not one iota of empathy and, after asking me how I felt, told me I was wrong! I may well need hearing aids, but I certainly won't be getting them from M&S - I will never go back to that department again.

I have been to the M and S opticians at London Colney twice now. Both times the service was excellent, but today I was seen by Bernie who is in from the cheshunt branch just for a month on an exchange. She was amazing, incredibly thorough, extremely knowledgeable about so many aspects of eye health and explained some eye health anomalies/issues I was having investigated through a consultant, in a clear friendly manner better than the hospital eye consultant could. Sadly she will be going back to Cheshunt at the end of the month, but I cannot fault her passion and knowledge of her subject.

I was met by Harriet who conducted all the preliminary checks very thouroughly and professionally. She has a lovely manner and made me very comfortable. This put me in a very relaxed mood for the main event. Clare’s experience shone through. As you can guess I have had my eyes tested a few times in the last fifty years and. Clare stood out with her expertise and friendly manner. Both are a credit to not only their profession but to the Marks and Spencer store in Plymouth City Centre

Had tests at M&S Meadowhall and all went ok.
Seemed very rushed to buy glasses but the ones I was directed to were ok.Paid my £320 and left
Collected glasses a week later but could not read through them the very uninterested member of staff said put them on the early every morning and they will be ok.
After being unable to read for a fortnight took glasses back to same lady who seemed annoyed to be dragged away from her phone.She proceeded to take measurements but never spoke for several minutes.Then she fetched an optician who tried various adjustments to no avail.They would not accept that there was something wrong with the glasses and perhaps it was the test that was incorrect?
The suggestion was that I could be retested but would have to pay them £40 to check their test!
If their lenses were ok and their test was correct I assumed they thought I was at fault?
I asked for my money back and left never to return

My visit was for my two year routine eye examination .
Chuck greeted me on arrival and did 1st part of eye assessment was excellent , friendly with a professional attitude and explained every procedure as went along.
David was exceptional very througher with a passionate attitude to his profession as an Optometrist.
5 Stars for professionalism , knowledge , attitude and making your examination a pleasant experience.
I did not need new glasses my eyes had no change from previous time.
Pleased my eyes are in there care.

Excellent service at M & S Opticians Plymouth I bought 3 pairs of modern colourful glasses which included a discount with a special offer they had on and I got a free pen, very handy, thankyou. I was served by Rachael, who made me feel very welcome indeed. She was superb, certainly knows
her job and products! I thought the entire atmosphere of the store was very friendly and very helpful..A wonderful experience altogether.
