My husband hired Safeway movers for a long distance move from TN to IL. We were quoted based on itemized list as well as video call walkthrough through the property. Movers arrived several hours late, with the truck that was entirely too small after multiple discussions with the broker and promises that were never delivered. As soon as they arrived the fella in charge walked through the property and gave as an entirely different quote, several thousand $ higher than the one we signed and agreed upon. No one from the team we spoke with was picking up the phone and the guy in charge was accusative and started threatening to unpack everything and unload the items that were on the truck already. He call his "supervisor", speaking Russian, rude, unprofessional. After multiple back and forward, absolutely miserable experience till the truck was loaded. It did not end there. Our items arrived, late, several valuable pieces were broken. The insurance they signed you up with is a complete scam as well! Did not recover anything after filing the bogus claim. Worst moving experience we've ever encountered! We moved many times prior! Beware of this company!!it's a broker based scam that subcontracts shady local movers. The only positive experience was the guys that unpacked the truck in Chicago.
