"I went in to purchase a phone in Harvey…"

I went in to purchase a phone in Harvey Norman- Manukau and the salesman was so rude. We told him about an offer another store was offering us and he so rudely told us to go to that store instead if his prices are too expensive for us. He treated us with very disappointing customer service. We told him that is not the way to talk to customers and he told us "that's just the way I am", that does not excuse his behaviour and is not our problem. We left the store immediately after as we were treated so badly. Definitely ruined our mood and experience at that shop.

So disappointed. I was after a product which Harvey Norman advertised so went online to see if it was available in our local store. Says clearly to phone the store to check for availability. So I did...only to be speaking to the most unhelpful staff member. He tells me to search for it myself online. I clearly explained to him that I had done that and would like to know if he had any idea when they would be available in NZ. He responded with 'I dunno', with no intentionof tryingto find out for me. So seems to me, unless their staff are going to get some sort of commission out of your purchase, they just don't care and you are wasting their time. Certainly not the only bad experience I have had there and would not go back if it weren't for them being the only one that apparently had this item 'avaliable'. They will pounce on you in-store thou if they think they will get a sale out of you.

"Top service from Proprietor …"

This review relates to Harvey Norman Furniture Whakatane only. The Proprietor Steve was able to sort out a lounge suite problem we had, sell us the part we were missing and show us how to fit it and our suite that we hadn't even been purchased there. We could not wish for better service and would go back to make a future purchase rather than another branch which is closer to where we live.

Terrible customer service. Bought some logitech z150 speakers on their website without checking stock levels. They rang me the next day saying there is no stock. Took my money anyway.

After checking their website again today, they have placed a special on the speakers. So more people are going to purchase the speakers unwittingly knowing they have no stock. Take the money anyway and figure it out later.

Never shopping here again.

"Screen protector"

Purchased a screen protector for my new cell phone and was sold to the idea that it will prevent accidentally damage if the phone was dropped and a life time guarantee on the screen protector.. I've had to go back twice to get a new screen protector put on as it came loose on both occasions and was told that some phones have the problem and I would need to come back every time so they can fix it free of charge . What a pain and inconvenience. Unfortunately 2 days ago my phone fell out my pocket and the screen cracked , no damage to the screen protector . Went to harvey norman to see what they will say and was told that the screen protector does not prevent the screen from cracking . Was also told that there screen protectors font cover the the entire phone so on the outskirts of the phone are exposed . Jesse the manager said he would excalate it for me and too date I've heard nothing and do not expect a call. Went past vodafone and they said it's the incorrect screen protector as it does not cover the whole phones screen .

Please do not buy a screen protector from them as you will endure endless problems and inconvenience. I shop alot at harvey norman and will never step inside there shop again . False advertising as in there descriptions of the screen protector it says will protect from accidental damage and prevent chipping .

Have brought 3 brand new tvs off them have had nothing but problems with the tvs eg screens just stopping wile watching movies etc have had them repaired at a 3-6 month wait for it to happen again within a month (konka) changed brand to Phillips tv so see if any better and same sh%t again stuff them would give them -5 if even possible 😀 👍

"Bad customer service"

Worst customer service in Manukau Harvey Norman bedding! Sales girl mucked up my order for $2700 worth of headboards. At first she was so sweet in selling me the item. I explained her what fabric and style I wanted for my two headboards. In simple words I told her same fabric but different designs. She agreed that she understood what I wanted. The orders took nearly 3 months to arrive. Whenever we went to check if my order is ready she gave us excuses about the suppliers taking so long. Finally when I was told my stuff has arrived we went to pick up. We were in the middle of moving so I didn’t open and check my stuff it was a biggest mistake of my life trusting the sales persons words. One of my headboard was made in the wrong fabric so when I went to make a complain she said that’s what I asked for and she just won’t listen. I was so frustrated she didn’t even bother to help but put me through head office to speak to the manger. And he was not even helpful as well. I wasted my money buying from there. I wouldn’t recommend Manukau Harvey Norman as they only want to make money from you after that they don’t really care. They should train their staff how to communicate with the customers. I will stop shopping in the manukau branch now!
