Reviewed on-line for best chargers, Auto Express rated the Home Plus series highly. Purchased the Home 7 unit. If I wasn't highly impressed with the charger itself, then the aftersales service and support was the icing on the cake. Owing to the charger being damaged due to the wife accidentally driving her car and pulling the charger off the wall ;-(. Chris and the team from support were fantastic, keeping me up up to date on the charger being repaired and the turnaround time was fantastic. Happy to report the charger has been re-installed and is working as well as the 1st day I received it. Great product, superb support, couldn't ask for anything more

I researched the EV chargers available and identified that Simpson and Partners offered an EV charger. I looked in to their charger and read a number of reviews, all of which were very positive including customer support experience. This was important as did read reviews of shocking after sales support from other EV charger manufacturers and once purchased it can be the most significant element.
The EV charger arrived in a timely manner and arranged for a qualified electrician to install. The electrician advised it was a simple install. I was informed by the electrician to purchase the wireless management unit. I contacted the customer support team who were incredibly helpful and got it out to me next day. The electrician completed the install. This highlights the importance of customer support and Simpson and partners are excellent.
I’ve not properly tested the EV charger, however I have no doubt it works well.

I recently had an extremely disappointing experience with Simpson & Partners (S&P) that left me feeling undervalued and disillusioned as a customer. My encounter with this company showcased a blatant disregard for customer concerns and a lack of accountability, particularly from the CEO himself, David Simpson.
After purchasing a product from S&P, I encountered an unexpected hardware change that was not communicated to me beforehand. Despite raising my concerns directly with David Simpson, the CEO, I was met with dismissive responses that failed to address the core issue of transparency and communication with customers. Instead of taking responsibility and offering a satisfactory solution, Mr. Simpson attempted to deflect my concerns with vague assurances about the satisfaction of "thousands of customers."
What struck me most was the inability of the CEO to handle such a simple issue to my satisfaction. As the leader of the company, one would expect Mr. Simpson to prioritise customer satisfaction and ensure that customer concerns are addressed promptly and effectively. Unfortunately, this was not the case in my experience.
Furthermore, the lack of flexibility in the company's return policy, especially considering the product had already been installed, only added to my frustration. It became evident that S&P's focus lies more on profiteering than on maintaining customer trust and loyalty.
Overall, my interaction with Simpson & Partners left me deeply disappointed and questioning the integrity of the company. I would caution potential customers to carefully consider their options before engaging with a company that demonstrates such poor customer handling practices and ethos.
In conclusion, I regret to say that my experience with Simpson & Partners was far from satisfactory, and I would not recommend their products or services based on my encounter.

"Intelligent Octopus Go claim misleading!"
It's advertised to work with all Octopus Energy tariffs but it doesn't work with Intelligent Octopus Go unless you have a compatible car! Nice looking box but wish I'd read the small print prior to buying!
