My whole experience with lazy carpets was brilliant. I contacted them for a consultation and to measure up and they managed to fit me in the same day which was brilliant. I didn’t feel any pressure to buy and was given lots of information making my decision very easy. They also managed to fit the carpet quickly and Phil that came to fit it was highly professional and very friendly.
I would highly recommend.

"Nice carpet, poor fitting service"

I was happy with the carpet itself and the price paid for it. However, I was disappointed with the fitting service I received.

When the salesman visited my home, I asked for a patch around the front door to be left uncarpeted. I had wooden floorboards already down and I said they would be staying as they are by the door. The salesman asked if I would just need some metal edging to join the carpet to the floor and I said yes.

For the day of the fitting, I had left the company with a back door key so they could access the property without me there (I work and live alone so couldn't be in for the fitting). When I returned from work, I saw that the carpet had been fitted and the patch around the door had been left uncarpeted as requested. However, the carpet and the wooden floor had been left un-joined - there was just a rough edge of carpet next to the floorboards without any metal edging. Edging had however been left in my living room, but seemingly for me to fit myself! Furthermore, the wrong edging had been left anyway - z-plate edging had been left rather than the single-sided edging that was needed for the job.

It seems that the salesman who visited my property had failed to understand my instructions and/or didn't seek the necessary clarification, so the fitters had turned up on the day not knowing what edging to fit. Following further correspondence, it seems that the fitters thought I was connecting the carpet to laminate flooring, even though I had never once suggested this to the salesman or the company.

Getting the company to return to fit the right edging and finish the job proved to be far more difficult than it should have been. At first, a customer service advisor tried to tell me on the phone that the right edging had been left and a different one couldn't be provided, even though I knew this was almost certainly not true. It took a very specific email request on my part to clarify the situation. Arranging an appointment for the fitting of the edging also proved extremely difficult. For the first date I was given, the fitter turned up at the wrong time and therefore couldn't complete the job. The company then wouldn't give me a timeslot for a re-booked appointment, and insisted I needed to be in for the whole day for the new appointment day. I therefore had to wait until I had holiday time from work for the new appointment to be arranged.

Overall, it took over three weeks for Lazy Carpets to return to finish the fitting job. I was very disappointed by the delay; ultimately, it was only necessary for them to return because their salesman had not taken enough care in clarifying what finish was needed, and I felt that the company showed a lack of motivation to rectify the mistake.

Considering the poor customer service I received, I was tempted to give a two star review, but because I do like the carpet itself, I felt generous enough to give three stars.

I had my hall fitted with vinyl today and as usual I an very pleased with can't recommend lazy carpets enough this is my 5th job with them I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Right from the get go Steph was amazing from when she come round to measure up the living room and answered every thing I had to ask.

The fitters were constantly in contact with me letting me know when they would arrive and and rang me to let them know they would be little late due to heavy traffic on motorway, once they arrived the were very professional and very well mannered.

Fast and efficient in putting the underlay and carpet down.

Absolutely fantastic company, will be using again in the near future!

"Rebecca is brilliant"

Rebecca is brilliant. She was great at fitting me in when. I needed to be elsewhere, and she is the reason that I've used Lazy carpets. I haven't had the carpet fitted yet, but so far her service has been excellent.
