I’m writing this review to share an honest, well-documented account of a deeply frustrating experience, and to help others make a more informed decision.
We hired this company for a full packing and moving service. While they were the cheapest quote we received, it was only by about £100—other companies, recommended by friends, offered similar services. In hindsight, I wish we’d chosen one of them. That small saving came at a significant cost.
Problems began even before the move. The day before packing, I received a message saying the team was facing a "logistical issue" and asked to start at 12pm instead of the standard 8am start time. I had paid for a full day of packing—only after I pushed back did they agree to start as planned. Despite this, the packers left our house at around 2pm, with packing incomplete. I had already packed all of my clothes and the entire master bathroom myself, hoping their time could be focused on more delicate items. I was told the rest would be done during the moving day—which, unsurprisingly, caused delays and added to the chaos.
The packing was careless and unprofessional. Expensive shoes were tossed into boxes without protection—some arrived crushed. White trainers were packed with muddy ones. Fragile items, including childhood keepsakes, were broken. Lampshades were crushed under heavy items inside boxes. Several glasses shattered. Items weren’t labelled properly, making unpacking confusing. The TV remote and sound bar were packed separately from the TV and never recovered, and I had to replace them.
There was property damage too: a wardrobe door was damaged, an interior door left with a hole, and a ceiling light was torn from its fitting, exposing live wiring that now needs repair.
A couple of hundred pounds in cash went missing from a drawer. I should have packed it myself—but I believed I was dealing with professionals. That trust was misplaced.
On moving day, my husband helped move items from the attic, giving the team more time for other tasks. Still, delays mounted. We had to call our agent to negotiate a later exit from the property because the final van arrived so late. In the end, we had to leave the team to close up the property—something no customer should have to do, but we had little choice if we wanted to move in a timely manner.
We had paid for dismantling and reassembly of furniture, but wardrobes and bookshelves weren’t fully reassembled. Screws were spread across the house—I collected them myself and many were unlabelled and unaccounted for. Movers also smoked on the job and left cigarette butts around our front garden—another clear sign of carelessness.
My invoice stated payment was due at the end of the month, yet I received a call during the move asking for immediate payment. I paid in full before the job was finished, in good faith, trusting issues would be addressed later.
I later asked for compensation—a modest amount of £250, which was far below the actual financial and emotional cost of the damage and disruption. The company initially offered a £50 “goodwill gesture”, which was later increased to £75, while continuing to deny liability and refusing to engage with my concerns in any meaningful way. They have now closed the case and stated they will only respond publicly.
Let me be clear: this review is an honest and accurate account of my experience. I gave the company every opportunity to resolve this privately, and I was transparent throughout. Unfortunately, they chose to hide behind policy instead of taking accountability for the service they provided.
While their communications are polished and professional-sounding, that tone is not reflected in the service you actually receive. There is a clear disconnect between their well-crafted messages and what happens on the day. Please don’t let the professional language fool you—the standard of care simply isn’t there.
I genuinely regret not spending slightly more with a company that values professionalism, integrity, and customer satisfaction. What we saved up front, we lost in time, damage, stress, and trust.
If you value your belongings, your time, and your peace of mind, look elsewhere.

I’m very disappointed with the unpacking service provided by M25 Movers during our house move. I paid extra specifically for this service, expecting a professional and organized experience. Unfortunately, what I received was quite the opposite.
The unpacking team removed items from the boxes and placed them in random, illogical locations. For example:
• Cutlery was dumped into a drawer meant for pots
• A wall clock was oddly placed inside a kitchen drawer
• Our clothes were scattered and not placed in the same locations as they were in our previous home
This lack of care has created a lot of unnecessary stress and extra work for us—completely defeating the purpose of paying for an unpacking service in the first place.
What makes it worse is that I tried to contact M25 Movers and submitted a complaint, but no one has responded. After hearing good things about this company, I expected much better service and customer care.
Very disappointing experience overall. I would not recommend the unpacking service based on this.
