Outside of a problem with a rebate that took a couple of months to resolve back in 2023 and a 60% increase in the price over the past year, the service itself has been very good and almost seamless. Outside of logging into the website and picking and buying the merchandise from the vendor, there is nothing else to do. The rebate shows up in my PayPal account and Shopsmarter sends me an email to let me know that I have received the email. If you do a lot of shopping online, Shopsmarter is worth the price.

This is my 2nd year using shopsmarter on a regular basis for my shopping. I have saved a lot of money by using their cash back service and I highly recommend them.

Overall it's been a good experience, with a few frustrating issues along the way. At one point we were remomdeling our front porch and has several large purchases from Home Depot and Lowes, for which they locked our ShopSmarter account on the basis that it was a business. So, we had to send photos of our home to them to prove it wasn't. I understand there are people out there taking advantage of things, but it really impairs the customer experience when you treat them like they're one of those people - instead of giving the benefit of the doubt and just asking for clarification.
At another time, more recently, we did some updates to our house and ordered a large order from Home Depot.. which never showed in our account. I emailed ShopSmarter and they said they would reach out to Home Depot to see if the purchase qualified! Eh.. I don't recall reading anywhere that an online purchase would not qualify, isn't this the whole reason to use ShopSmarter? So, we're waiting, up to 8 weeks, to see what HD will say. Annoyances like this, in the customer experience, are what bring the rating down for us. Otherwise, it would be a great resource.

Most of the time cash back works fine. For some sites like Expedia they force a new window and you miss on the cash back. Cookie can carry forward to the new window and should be made eligible. But overall pretty satisfied.

I linked to Homedepot, Temu, Kohl's through shopsmarter in November and this month. I spent several times and didn't get 10% cashback reward. I think I was deceived by you. You have become an untrustworthy website.

"Use it"

After a couple of years with ShopSmarter, I have discovered that it has to become habit if it is worth the $16.00 monthly fee. So many times it's just the little purchases made locally that could have saved me 10% by using ShopSmarter. If your chosen store is in the list of participating businesses, make that purchase on line and either pick up the items in-store or have them delivered.
