Not sure how I have an account with this company. I just realized it when I saw a charge on my credit card statement.
I want a full refund of all the "membership" fees you've collected.

To file complaints with the CT Department of Consumer Affairs (google it for the url). Their website states they can help with "Connecticut-based telemarketers and internet retailers".

Edit, also on 01/16/2025, 5:37 pm. I tried to log in to my account. ShopSmarter no longer recognizes my email or password. They appear to have canceled my account. This after I sent them a message through their website detailing the fees they have charged and requesting a refund.

I don't know you and I don't have any accounts with you, but you charged my credit card fraudulently.

Shopsmarter raised my and, I suppose other members, their monthly membership fee 60% from about $10 to $16.99. At $16.99 per month, you would have to purchase nearly $2040 from online retailers just to break even.

I have recommended they raise the maximum annual rebate from $1000 to at least $1500. So far—only crickets.

They removed a $75 rebate from my account. It was related to a $750 purchase of gift cards from Bass Pro Shops. I checked the restrictions for Bass Pro Shops at Shopsmarter's website, and Bass Pro Shops has no restrictions related to buying or using their gift cards to qualify for a rebate.
