"Worst Payroll Company High Fees"
Terrible since IRIS took over. They have insane amount of 'extra' fees, professional fee's and automatic inflation adjustments to your prices. Their customer service is a joke, you can never get anyone on the line(Except for sales, go figure). I have used them for 8 years, and will now be switching. Their software is a joke and their cost is absurd for what they offer. STAY AWAY!

I have been using Accountant World by IRIS for a while now, and I am extremely disappointed with their customer service. Every time I call, it takes multiple attempts to get through, and often, no one answers. When I leave my contact information, it is very hard to get back to me. The representatives I have spoken to are unprofessional, making it very frustrating to resolve issues. There is no reliable way to reach someone if I have any concerns. Overall, the customer service experience has been terrible.

This has gotten worse since IRIS took over. The prefunding switch they mandated is a total headache. And today, they are closed and didn't deposit any employee's paychecks for any of the 11/29/24 payrolls as scheduled! I've been trying to reach anyone there. The only one to pick up was sales who said she couldn't help and transferred me to VM. Now I can't get anyone to pick up.

"They do not really care"
I have been using these firm for than 10 years. I had some issues before but the most recent issue lead to this review. We had an issue with one account for direct deposit, that was fraudulent. Instead of really helping to solve this issue, they provided some unrelated to this response. They close they tickets in zendesk right away without getting any feed. If you care about your clients, I would stay away from this company.

My accountant uses this service for my payroll. AccountantsWorld processed a payment for me on 8/2/2024 and the funds have not posted to date on 8/8/2024. The money that has not posted is nowhere to be found. I called the company to discuss the issue, and the representative hung up on me. I would not recommend using this service.

I like the idea of the product and that they don't sell to the general public like QB's does. The set up process has been terrible. I don't have anyone holding my hand through it like I thought I would so i've been figuring it out mostly on my own and that makes the transition a lot longer. I have not been impressed with the support team. Usually, they seem irritated that I contacted them at all. My biggest complaint is the support. That's something a software company should be big on, I would assume.

We been using accountant’s world since 2019. With recently being acquired, it is a mess. They are changing policies right and left. They need 5 days lead time for tax deposits, which is insane. The pre-fund recon is a mess. We are spending so much time to help client with reconciliations. Up until last year, we had very good experience.

"Payroll Relief - I give them an F for requiring pre-funding!"
We've used Payroll Relief for two years, and while it's very expensive and not at all user friendly (with slow support responses), we were reasonably satisfied until last month. We had already paid the renewal fees (did I mention expensive?), when a week later they announced that they were going to REQUIRE all companies move to pre-funding their taxes (withdrawing and holding the taxes the company will owe, sometimes for months at the time the payroll is done). Our clients do NOT want to do pre-funding. We left another large payroll company years ago because they were going to require pre-funding. I called and spoke with customer service, asking for an exception to this and they refused. We will lose all of our clients if we REQUIRE them to pre-fund, so now we have to find another payroll solution. I also asked for a refund and have not heard anything back. This is nothing more than a bait-and-switch tactic, waiting until they have our money and then announcing a change that we have not choice to decline. DO NOT USE THESE SCAMMERS.
