"Swift refunds rip off "

Please don’t use this company if u do and they cat get u any refund they send u a bill they could not get me my refund and even though they make out no win no fee they are lying to u , I got no refund but they sent me a bill for £288 that had to b paid within 10 days or they give u a late payment fine they hold u to ransom if u don’t pay these despicable people report u to the credit agency and u get a black mark on ur credit score even though u have done nothing wrong b aware b very aware they are only after what they can get out of you and don’t care what they do to get paid .

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! I am an Openreach engineer claiming food expenses and after months of no/minimal contact from starting in September 2024, until a week before Christmas an email received advising there has been a process change for the refund and they now require tracker information, employee contracts etc for the last four years (non of which was stated upon starting the claim). After months a refund breakdown was received in which swift fees were £216 from a £245 refund. Eventually a letter from HMRC received in February advising they are looking into my tax and doing a compliance check. In conclusion no help received from swift they have the worst customer service and had to do most of the work myself. HMRC cancelled the refund and I still had to pay swift fees of £216! 6 months wasted do not bother with this company use a reputable and experienced tax company who has honesty and transparency!

"Terrible"

Terrible. Months of no contact. Concerning letters from hmrc. Trusted these folk and now not going to get my claim and they still want money from causing this stress. Absolutely ridiculous and the person I'm dealing with is shocking

I was told by my assigned accountant not to respond to anything HMRC sent out to me and instead to photograph and send to accountant. I then get told that because I didn't repaint to HMRC I am liable. So I was set up to fail.

I have complained to the company and will be raising a complaint with financial ombudsman and anyone else I can fine to expose this company for the months of stress iv had to endure. And now the threats from the accountant that screwed me over to pay a massive fee is ridiculous.

"Do Not Proceed with Swift Refunds "

So today after very minimal communication from Swift Refunds they have turned around and told me they won’t be putting my claim through to HMRC because of the incorrect calculations they have made. In turn for their mistakes messing about with my personal information they have sent me an invoice for their “services”. Despite receiving concerning letters from HMRC I trusted in them as they told me all would be fine and it’s normal yet they have managed to deliver nothing but grief. I am currently waiting for some sort of response from them but until I get some proper explanation as to why it’s all gone wrong I will not be paying the fee. No claim surely means no fee as stated on their website. STAY WELL AWAY unless you enjoy headaches and stress. Waste of months being in communication with them.

No contact for months & then send countless emails with threats of being fined by the hmrc & then they purposely hold of till dead line day and then you get fined and a messed up tax number and then hounded for thay years tax return self assessment and out of 234 they took 170 odd out of ur money and then hound you for refferels and all the while not answering complaints

"Avoid like the plague "

Can only echo what others have said. They promise you'll get a lot. Then nothing. I was promised over £1200. Turns out it's only £140!
Of which, I only got £42. Naturally l've told them not to claim for any other years as they are simply making free money out of me. Now they want £72 to cancel. You can whistle. Send all the bailiffs you want here. You aren't getting another penny out of me. They never respond to emails either but luckily I’ve kept all my sent ones that they haven’t responded to and will use that against them should they wanna take legal action as to why I’m not paying them £72. Even my solicitor reckons they don’t have a leg to stand on. Even HMRC said they’ve had many complaints from these guys and to steer clear. Once again, AVOID!

After providing me with a refund and then saying they could help again I was then told that they were no longer covering my job role.

I was then sent a tax return from HMRC to fill in and ended up with a bill of £1,059.

When I spoke to HMRC they said they have had no end of problems with Swift Refunds and they are removing them from everyone’s account who rings to complain.
