Worst company to deal with, they charge you for doing nothing and you end up spending hours on the phone trying to sort out with the HMRC

Company is a complete scam. They ask for very basic details (3 bank statements per year) then come up with an estimated figure you’ll be entitled to and at that point you are expected to pay the 29% of that figure regardless. After speaking to HMRC they tell you under no circumstances would they ever estimate your tax refund off such little evidence and therefore swift refund shouldn’t be putting you into a contract making you liable for such a promise. I am currently appealing the charges as I’m supposed to now owe £482 when all the company did was apply for for expenses using almost no details to which HMRC are now asking for more. I can’t provide further details and the company don’t care as they claim you owe them 29% of the made up estimate anyway. Currently talking to citizens advice and they are looking into the contract and agreement. I have even sent a complaint which says I’ll hear back within 7-10 days and rather than the company acknowledging the review they have forced the invoice of £482 down to me giving me 10 days to pay!! God only knows what bullying tactics they will use next. Before people read this and think I’m just expecting to walk away not paying anything I’ve even offered to pay an admin fee which would be in proportion to the work carried out but seems the company just want to push for the full commission.
Please please please don’t sign up and just ring hmrc your self and they will send all the documents to sign and you won’t owe them anything if you aren’t entitled to the money!! God only knows how this company has the rating it does.

Where to start, absolutly shocking starts off okay say you are entitled a decent amount and suck you into signing up, then got the letter from HMRC requesting documents I tried to express i cannot acquire and was never told I needed!
Obviously just a scam to get money from people grab and dash tactics, do yourself a favour and avoid! Don't return phone calls but bombard with emails! Then demand payment for no proper service provided.

"AVOID AT ALL COSTS "
This company are absolutely awful. I have never made a tax claim before this was the first one. On my very first phone call they said “you agree to our fee 24% plus VAT which will come out of your refund.” They massively over estimated how much I was due back. They sent in £3000 claim for food and drink and laundry without seeing bank statements. I am only due back £900.
I can’t appeal because I could get a fine equaling up to £3000 and they are making me pay a fee to them of £546 for them getting the figures wrong. If anyone can point me in the right direction of how to appeal this as I have sent in a complaint to them and heard nothing back.

All this company was interested in was obtaining my data passport bank statements utility bills work contracts the list gose on
Quite stressful and still after all this time my clam was not completed

Never had a tax bill in 30 years, ended up paying £190 back.. and swift refunds charged me £72. Thanks a lot. Definitely won’t be using again

"NOT A GREAT EXPERIENCE SO FAR"
I agree…NOT A GREAT EXPERIENCE SO FAR….my daughter engaged them thinking she was just making an enquiry and after submitting all the relevant paperwork, still not realising she was actively engaging them (her mistake) she received a phone call whilst in hospital recovering from an operation demanding payment for an invoice that she had not received. The phone call that took place was not very professional to the point that my daughter thought it was a scam. She has tried to reach out via email on numerous occasions now to resolve the issue after receiving multiple automated email payment demands but Swift Refunds have failed to reply and keep sending automated payment demand emails with the threat of legal action. If you are reading this Swift Refunds then please check your emails and reply so this issues can be resolved.
Update based on the initial and edited response from Swift Refunds below….
Many thanks for taking the time to respond and we appreciate the kind words…however actions would speak louder than words and 1 week on since the initial response to the review she is still receiving automated demands that are threatening legal action and there has been no contact at all despite a promise of reaching out in the initial response 1 week ago. Please make contact via email asap, currently the only communication we are receiving is via trust pilot.

Avoid at all costs .. avoid avoid ..please read the terms and conditions carefully...you will have to provide p60s initially .I was claiming for food and washing my clothes .my claim went through for 2024 where I received a payment from swift for around £245 for the year after they had taken there part ...i then recieved an email saying swift were now unable to claim for years 2022 and 2023 as the HMRC now require more information than my p60 they need all my Bank Statements for both these years I have a joint bank account with my wife and I was not willing to provide these for that reason ...my wife was not claiming or in an agreement with swift..because I won't provide my bank statements to the HMRC apparently ...I now have to cancel my claim with swift at my cost of £60 per year plus vat ..I have had t pay £144 to close my claim or risk penalty's from the HMRC for late tax returns very scarey and stressful ...please please read swift refunds terms carefully in total I recived £100 for the hassle and swift made a whole lot more..I have now opened a case with trading standards through the citizens advice ..and will have no more contact with swift refunds .please avoid and from my experience swift will try scaring you ...

"Above and beyond "
The staff have gone above and beyond to get me my tax return and it came on Christmas eve eve which was awesome. Teala helped me massively and sorted out and finalised my payment. I cannot thank them enough. If anyone is worried about how much the company margin is taken from your payment it is quite low and is very much reasonable. Take the stress away from tax returns and let these legends do it for you. Merry Christmas guys have a great new year
