From the get go Helpbox have been brilliant. From my conversations with Paddy, Coral and Charles there is no question to small and they all have a very clear manner in which they describe everything, which as a new and first time business owner has been fantastic.

I have been setting up my own small business. Helpbox have been brillilant. They seem to be the perfect balance of have enough of a team that you can always speak to someone, whilst not being so big that the service becomes impersonal.
From my first call with Harvey, to my onboarding and day to day support from Lucy, to specialist help with Sarah, everyone had made everything so simple and clear. Responses have been incredibly quick.
So far there are no areas I would say need improving. Very happy with my choice.

Don’t waste your time with this lot. Every single step along the way I have had issues with them; didn’t get a dedicated account manager, didn’t receive any templates or guidance as promised, received incorrect advice regarding how to effectively make the most of tax exemptions, did not receive call backs or the first monthly check in call, only issued a refund for the lack of service after constantly pursuing them and not receiving call backs, charged again the following month despite requesting the cancellation 3 weeks prior. The list goes on and this is over the space of only a month. If you are looking for things to be done in a timely manner and to be actually looked after I would avoid at all costs.

The team over at Helpbox have been amazing from the start. As someone who has never used an accountant before, starting the whole process seemed very daunting, with a lot of technical wording and terminology. I did my research, and I found that most places were very clinical and black and white with their approach and communication style.
Until I got a call back from Helpbox and they made me feel very welcome and comfortable.
I’m still going through the accounts process, but I feel nothing but confident with all the people I have spoken with, moving forward. Harvey, Lucy and Luke to be exact, have been very helpful and accommodating for any questions, concerns or advice that I have needed.
If you’re a small business like me, I would absolutely recommend. They make everything so much easier to understand and their prices are fair and the best value that I have found

"I hardly ever write reviews, but......"

I don't normally leave reviews, but I had to in this case, because my experience has been so easy and positive! My accountant is Charles, and he's been very amenable and accessible from the start. He's answered all my questions, and he's made the transition from doing my own bookkeeping (I'm a sole trader) to having an accountant very smooth. It took me a long time to transition to having an accountant, and I wish I'd done it sooner! I thought I'd want an accountant locally to me, as then I might pop into the office to talk about things, however, with the use of Teams, I am able to have all the discussions I need with Charles. As for the price of their service, I've just had my first year accounts completed, and I've saved a considerable amount of tax by using Helpbox - amazing! Basically all my bookkeeping requirements are now covered by a very reasonable monthly fee (believe me, I shopped around for a better deal, and couldn't find one!), and this means I can spend my time on my business and not on my accounts (apart from sending the necessary financial transactions information). I highly recommend Helpbox 😊
