"Citysights 5 HR escorted bus tour of Manhattan is a fraud..."

Bought 2 about $100 dollar each tickets for 5 hour bus tour with guide too see "all" Manhattan "from Harlem to Battery Park. Att 11:20 am we were dropped off at Staten Island ferry terminal and told to find something to eat and come back 70 minuter later in a dull ferry terminal long before lunch time. 2.5 hours took the stop including the ferry. The guide was very surprised when I asked about Harlem and said that it was no chance to have time for that. I left. We would hardly have time to reach Central Park. This Escorted 5hr Experience tour of Manhattan is a fraud and a theft with a pool guide that seem to think it more interesting to talk about where famous people have lived than to talk about Manhattan.

"Never again..."

In 2019 we bought 4 freestyle passes from Citysights. Our trip has been canceled due to Covid. We have been working for 2 years now to extend these passes or get a refund. The amount was first refunded via Paypal but reclaimed the same week. They no longer respond to anything and they are unreachable. As if they have disappeared from the face of the earth

It was an amazing experience for my friend from Texas. We enjoyed sightseeing around the main spots of New York. We're having fun here and there. I highly recommend this!

"Fuyez....."

Fuyez... ce sont des voleurs !
J’ai effectué une réservation sur ce site pour un vol au dessus de New York en famille pour 5 personnes.
Hélas, j’ai été hospitalisé et notre voyage a été annulé (ou disons reporté à l’année prochaine). Alors que nous avons été remboursé ou obtenu des avoirs pour tous les vols, hôtels et autres activités... Seul Citysights ne nous a pas remboursé et n’a pas été capable d’éditer un nouveau voucher pour l’année suivante, alors que leurs conditions générales de vente les obligent à le faire !
Nous avons échangé à de très nombreuses reprises avec leurs services, et ils nous ont dit que nous serions remboursé.... mais après 6 mois d’échanges et à chaque fois des excuses de leurs part : toujours pas de remboursement !!
C’est honteux.
J’ai donc décidé d’entamer une procédure et je ne manquerai pas de publier le résultat de leur sanction.
Alors ne perdez pas votre temps comme nous... réservez ailleurs !!

"Servicio muy basico..."

Buses muy sucios, la gran mayoría de sus conductores muy desagradables , no aptos para buses de turismo.
Su unico punto a favor es el ahorro por ingreso a puntos de interes....si planificas bien los puntos a visitar , caminas y usas uber puede ser una alternariva..asi evitaras malos ratos y perdida de tiempo con gente muy basica y mal educada

"How is it possible that their broadway…..."

How is it possible that their broadway tickets are more expensive than buying direct from the show’s website? The $40 credit from sightseeing pass is pretty useless because even after you have applied it, you still end up paying more than the usual price.

"Be careful not to be trapped by website redirections..."

City Sighths NY is connected with NY SighthseeingPass. On calling the attraction list you are routed to a SighthseeingPass URL but if you place a booking you do not get the 40$ SighthseeingPass credit required for additional attractions e.g. a free Empire State Building voucher. If you buy on SighthseeingPass website you are routed to a City Sighths NY for redeeming your 40$ credit. Strange procedures. Be careful!

"To Be Avoided - Book Alternative Company..."

Firstly, you have to go to one of the Company's welcome centres to have your voucher redeemed instead of simply boarding the bus at one of the stops and handing it to the driver. The staff at the downtown location only seem to be interested in issuing the tickets and are not willing to answer any queries you may have. Secondly, the buses used are of very poor quality with the seats being almost too slippery to sit on without continually having to brace yourself. Thirdly, the downtown loop is not continuous. You have to leave the bus midway to board another bus to complete the loop, which incidentally does not finish at the start point. Fourthly, the staff are unhelpful and somewhat brash in their responses to any questions for directions, stop information and timings. Fifthly, the booklet supplied is not very good as the map in particular is so small a scale that details are nigh on impossible to find. Sixthly, you have to board the hop on hop off boat to access the Brooklyn tour. Bus stop is located some distance from Pier and is not signed. Guide on this tour spoke very quickly with a Brooklyn accent which was almost impossible to understand. There is nothing of great significance to view on this tour.
Our experience of this Company leaves a lot to be desired as we encountered a bus doing the second part of the downtown tour without any working public address system. The driver was advised, but he spoke very little English and did nothing. Further, he stopped the bus at the end of the tour and quite literally told us to get off at what was an unknown location. He refused to offer any directions to the next tour bus stops in that vicinity. This resulted in us being reliant on assistance of passersby to find our way to where the tour had originally started i.e at the welcome centre. Again approaches to the staff at this location for information appeared to fall on deaf ears. All in all I strongly advise booking an alternative Company.

"DON'T BY BROADWAY TICKETS FROM THEM..."

We really wanted to see a musical, as neither of us had done that in NYC before. Our top priority was Lion King, but it was just so expensive. One day we passed the visitor's center located between 47th and 48th st. on 8th ave, and we saw the sign: "Broadway tickets on sale here". So we went in, to ask some questions about it. At the counter, I asked whether it would be cheaper to by them at the visitor's center, or if it would be the same price as at the box office. She assured me that they would get a better price for the best seats. So she called around, and got us to tickets for $210 each. I knew that the best seats were sold for $215 at the box office, so I thought to myself that we at least saved $10 total ;-)

The show was the next day, and we had to stop by the visitor's center, to pick up the tickets. - a bit of an inconvenience, but it was ok.

When standing in line, I realise that the price on the ticket says $161, not $210 as we paid. And sure enough, when we were shown to our seats, they were far from the best. My boyfriend sitting next to me, couldn't even see the whole stage.

Unfortunately the visitor's center was closed after the show, so we went there first thing next morning, to ask them were the missing $98 went.

When we got there, the manager kept saying that that was just how they did it. That they could not know which tickets were available before the day of the show, so they just charged the maximum price.

I asked where the $98 went, and he was very vague. At first he said that the box office at Lion King got them.
I kept trying to get some kind of compensation for the loss, but he kept saying that there was nothing he could do, and that was just how they sold the tickets.

I asked again, where the $98 were, and all of a sudden, he said it was the visitor's center that kept them for the trouble. After this he picked up the phone, and started talking, completely ignoring us, until we had to leave.

Lion King was still an amazing experience, but this incident ruined it a bit for us.
