"Bright spots on the screen"
I purchased a replacement light after the first one went dead. I bought the replacement bulb already in the supporting structure. After plugging it in, I noticed a bright spot at the bottom middle left of my screen. I took the whole thing back apart and cleaned every surface but it still shows up. No time to do returns which is why I bought a factory replacement (more expensive than aftermarket) in the first place 👎

I certainly had sticker shock when my lamp went out at 2600 hours. So much so, that I went to Amazon and bought a replacement bulb for 1/3 of what BenQ was asking.
The lamp arrived and 'almost' fit perfectly. It certainly worked, as my picture was restored and I could use my projector again. It was only about 30 minutes later that I noticed the smell. Definitely electrical, almost like an overheating odor.
Another quick call to BenQ and my fears were confirmed. The off-brand lamp was probably overheating the ballast to the lamp. Not wanting to ruin my projector or at the very least find myself subject to additional repair costs, I ordered the genuine replacement from BenQ with priority shipping (it was almost superbowl weekend).
The service people have been amazing at every turn. Sympathetic to my sticker shock, they were never pushy. Needless to say, the new lamp arrived before the weekend, and the smell hasn't returned. Unlike the knock-off lamp from Amazon, this replacement bulb fit perfectly.

"Horrible product, horrible service"
This monitor has terribly ghosting problem. It appears on all video games, especially on sports games – you can always see a ghost shadow behind each running athlete on a green lawn. It’s a hardware defect, and you have no way to fix it through configuration. I have another cheap monitor (under $60). But its gaming experience is much better than this one -- and you call it a "gaming monitor"!
I called the BenQ customer service, waited for 70+ minutes, and nobody answered it. On their menu they don’t even have a basic sorting, like tech support or bill service, individual or business customers. It's ALL IN ONE! Honestly this is the most inefficient and unfriendly customer service I've ever seen. I am so disappointed.

Shane took all the time necessary to answer all my questions. When e-mails were necessary they were answered promptly. I bought a re-furbished monitor that was delivered quickly and worked "out of the box". Benq proved to be a top notch company. I'm very satisfied.
