"From a long-term fan of Easy-breaks."

We have used easy-breaks for many years now, and continue to do so though perhaps less often. Prices have rocketed! Admin fee going from £4 to £6 was a 50% jump! Friends have told us that on occasion a hotel contacted directly will match easy-break's price, AND allow cancellation up to the last minute, thereby saving easy-break's £12 "cancellation insurance".
One thing we have particularly enjoyed in the past about easy-breaks was the delightful, easily navigated website. By comparison the recently introduced new website is, in my opinion, significantly less attractive - and I'm NOT talking about the ridiculous "teething troubles" encountered in its first days!

Website showed that Amex was acceptable but then kept saying it failed to go through... Online chat advised they don't accept Amex....then why have it on your site as an option??????

Then when did purchase (by using mastercard) it stated it had been accepted but the website showed error..failure of booking and no email receipt was sent... contacted online chat again and they stated they were aware of the issues with the website and are currently looking into it...

If you deal on the web you need to be sharper in your operation and picking up website problems folks!

I was extremely disappointed with my latest easy break, as I had requested 2 separate rooms, (as the other person was my sister), isaid I would be willing to pay a single supplement although on many easy breaks over the years easy breaks were usually able to waive the supplement , as the whole idea is to fill otherwise unoccupied rooms, particularly off season. The operative (Gloria), assured me no supplements were available at all, but a *late deal was on offer at £64.99pp, any room, with b&B and dinner 1 night, however I must pay for full occupancy for each room, andouble payment meaning£129, each room. Upon enquiring at the hotel tdhey informed me that THEY had a deal on at £74 pp, NO double payment, as they had 30 empty rooms!
