"A mixed bag"

Set up 2 bikes for deluxe service totalling £199 and attempted to use £10 off code only to be bounced because the order was over £100. Not very customer friendly and in business terms a bit silly to be capping discount for more business. Both bikes delivered back but rear wheel on one was not turning so I sent it back. Ironically part of the paperwork you get on return is a quality assurance checklist which was showing the bike had been checked! This bike was returned and showed that the problem was that the wheel was simply not tightened into forks🤷‍♂️ So then went out on bikes with wife to check they worked ok and found that on second bike that gear change on front crank would only drop from top to bottom missing out middle. So got the bike collected for further attention. Driver arrived to return bike only to find that he had the wrong bike and further delivery arranged the next day.

Collection and deliver staff v friendly. The final result is ok although they are not cheap

This is the first time I have use havebike. I brought a second hand bike which had been left in a shed for a few years and needed a bit of TLC.

I’m very pleased with the service that I’ve had. The bike was collected on time and returned on time. Whilst my bike was in the workshop the speed and level of communication was second to none. I didn’t go ahead with all the advised work as I was worried I may not use the bike as much as I anticipated so I wanted to keep the costs down. Geraint, was really helpful in helping to explain how parts work and why the technician was advising changing a few parts for new. There was no pressure to go ahead with any extra work but having discussed and understood the mechanics of the parts I decided it was worth changing a few extra pieces. When the bike was returned Renan went through the work carried out, explained the guarantee and offered for me to ride the bike to check I was happy.

I was fortunate to be able to use a code for emergency services to help with the costs. I’ve also seen discount codes online previously. Even without this I would say that the service is great value for money and I have already recommended to several colleagues and friends.

Quality of the work is always high, and have used many times before. I felt this time they were less flexible with price and it was very expensive. For example when you are having £100s of work done, they previously had waived the inspection fee etc. I probably will shop around before I use this service again

I've used HaveBike a few times and as always there was great communication at every step, they were even able to help me save money on work I wanted to be done on my bike. Very happy and satisfied, the technicians know their stuff and Matt was very accomodating to my requests.

I would recommend them to all cyclists, and if you are unsure of something, send an email/call them and they will help you find the best options for you.

"Very good, convenient service but not convinced about the cleaning"

Overall, this is a great, convenient service. I paid for the deluxe service £99 and the bike was collected and returned on time with regular email updates along the way. The service itself seems very good and my bike, which is well maintained, is running very smoothly. In particular, a new gear cable was fitted for the rear derailleur and the shifting is now much improved (this cost an extra £20). My only slight gripe is that the main benefit of the deluxe service seems to be a deep clean of the bike and components. Although it looked nice and clean on return, it wasn't what I would consider a "professional deep clean". There was still a small amount of dirt on the cogs and the frame was still a bit dirty on the inside of the fork near the hubs, similar to if I'd given the bike a good clean myself. So I think I'd probably not do the deluxe service next time and save £30 by going for the basic service, giving my bike a good clean/degrease myself before/afterwards.
