"Avoid at all costs"
After consistent and reliable service for 6 years, I can honestly say I will never be contacting them again.
I have had a serious boiler malfunction for nearly a week.
I have called them every day for the last 6 business days, only to hear the same, extremely unhelpful 'we have passed your details on to the team, and they will contact you'. No contact in a week. No courtesy for the urgency of the situation.
They claim to have an emergency 24/7 number, but no one answers outside of the usual 9-5, and there is no option of leaving a voicemail.
Absolutely ridiculous. Avoid at all costs, and use a local independent gas safe certified engineer instead.
Paul's a great engineer, but this organization is unreliable.

I've had the same experience as everybody below. Calls texts emails what's apps unanswered mid November 24. However, I did have to deal with Paul and Ellen last summer to sort out damage as there was a flood after my boiler was fitted. At the time I became aware they had some major stresses outside of the business and I sincerely hope that all is ok. They sorted the problem out to my satisfaction and I believe they are good human beings who wouldn't deliberately just abandon customers.

"Disappointing experience"
I have had the same experience as the customers below. I have had several years of great service from Paul so didn't hesitate to call him to fit a new shower. However, after having paid half the bill, I have not heard from him, nor been able to get in touch. I am really sorry I am having to write this review but I don't want other people to lose money.

"Similar v v poor experience to Andrew…"
Similar recent experience to Andrew Evans. Previously great service for about 8 years also with installation of two boilers for us. However, recently we have recently (May) paid a deposit of £1000 for a new boiler. Now stopped returning our calls. Odd as Paul has provided superb service in the past. However, I recommend NOT using this company. I am chasing to try and get our money back.

Used them for a couple of years and received good service.
However, recently we were scammed out of $300. They pushed us to pay for the service up front strangely, and then as soon as we paid they stopped returning our calls. So weird as Paul has provided good service in the past. However I highly recommend NOT using this company. We will be chasing to try and get our money back.

"Didn't want to write this"
I genuinely didn't want to write this review as I have used Paul a number of times to service our boiler and he has always been good, albeit communication has been a challenge...but not to this extent.
Had a boiler issue, which Paul diagnosed and help me to fix over the phone, so far so good. Unfortunately, that uncovered another issue. Paul came round to diagnose and again was prompt and attentive.
On Sunday 8th September he messaged me an invoice and asked me to pay half (circa £250), as I have worked before with Paul and just wanted the job done I paid the whole invoice. I am not complaining about that, it's my choice and I would be writing this review if I had paid half. He told me payment needed to be made immediately so that "delivery of the item could happen tomorrow (Monday)".
That's it...haven't heard anything since then. I have sent 4 Whatsapp's, 3 text messages, 7 phone calls to his mobile (unanswered), 2 emails and 2 calls to his call handling service. No response.
Yesterday I explained if I hadn't heard back I would be forced to leave a review as I don't have another choice, hence this. My £500 has disappeared and I will now be looking to claim it back formally as I don't know what else to do.
Paul, or anyone from the company, if you are reading this, please get in contact as I am desperate to sort it and want to understand what has happened for this to go so wrong.
To make this worse my wife is pregnant, house is very cold and heating has been off for over 2 weeks. I have explained this all to the call handling company and over email and explained it is now an emergency.

I’m hugely disappointed and dismayed by my recent experience with Bristol Plumbing and Heating Care.
My previous experience was excellent: Paul installed a new gas heating system in 2020; commissioned a second-hand gas cooker in 2021; and continued to service the gas system since then.
Then, at the beginning of April 2024, the gas was serviced and checked and the bill paid immediately, as usual.
BUT, despite repeated email requests and innumerable phone calls, the company has failed to produce the gas safety certificate.
I have reiterated that the property is now classed as an HMO, and that the certificate is an essential requirement by the Bristol City Council, quite apart from my own peace of mind.
I have never before published a commercial complaint on Trustpilot, but I am at my wits’ end as to how to resolve this issue without negative publicity.
