"Very poor service"
Such a poor service, having been recommended Ramsdens I was expected a professional service. Unfortunately what transpired was a protacted completion with no communication. Felt like my property was just a number of many and when conflicts arose with the sellers solicitors Ramsdens instead of supporting took the easy route and increased charges to myself. Use with caution

"Great communication & professional service"
This is the second time that I have engaged Ramsdens Solicitors. The first time, three years ago, was for the sale of a property with a freehold issue, which Katie Sharp resolved to our advantage; the second time was for the sale of my late mother's property. The property completed this week.
At all times, the conveyancing team Katie Sharp and her assistant Harriet Midgley acted professionally and promptly. Questions by email were replied to on the same day, and lo and behold, both of the team actually answered their own phones! If you left a message a ring-back was prompt, again the same day.
The sale of my later mother's property completed this week, in record time, during a pandemic. I am very grateful to Ramsdens for making a distressing time less stressful.
I am also in the process of using the will department for probate for my late mother's estate. Again, Alastair James has gone above and beyond the level of service that I would expect; he has guided my sister and I through the process with tact and knowledge.
I would highly recommend these solicitors for their conveyancing, will writing and probate services.

"When it comes to divorce proceedings"
When it comes to divorce proceedings, I struggle to think of any redeeming feature.
I felt that Jaynie Broughton took an unnecessarily aggressive stance and made a sad situation into something nearing total disaster. There seemed to me to be a lack of a sense of responsibility for, or willingness to understand, the people involved.
Communication was a problem. The letters seemed poor, often late and appeared to me to be written in a thoughtless and mechanical manner to simply satisfy the client at that moment, rather than get to the heart of the matter.
I'm not convinced that we enjoyed adequate experience or wisdom.
Mediation seemed to be a dirty word and I felt that we were being unnecessarily steered into going to court - no doubt at great cost.
If you want a molehill turning into an expensive mountain, then they may be the firm for you.
My opinion: STEER CLEAR

"If you want good service"
If you want good service, prompt replies and efficiency then I would use another Solicitor. Absolutely useless.

"Extremely rude"
Extremely rude, hasnt helped out at all she seems to help out the other side more than me, this is for family issues for children pass over and my solicitor is saying my poorly parents who can hardly walk have to do every single passover and have to take the children to there dad which is a bus ride away and saying that we have to pay for the bus rides mean while the dad can do as he pleases, shes not only rude to me but my mum too who when my mum told her she is too poorly to do this (she has lymphadema and cellulitus in both legs and nearly died last year) she told my mum if she doesn't do it she will be arrested! My solicitor gets everything wrong and changes everything ive said and when I say I didnt say that she has a go at me and says it will look bad on me now, she suggests stuff to the other solicitor behind my back and when I say sorry I cant do that she says it will look bad on me. This isnt even the half of it! My dad has cancer, my mum has leg and heart problems and my sister is disabled whom my mum is a carer for so shes making my mum leave my sister who has epilepsy and brain lupus to travel to the father and if they refuse then they will be in trouble! meanwhile he does nothing! Why? Because hes playing the victim even though he admitted in court to abusing me.

"Terrible"
Terrible. Poor communication and unfriendly, unhelpful team with no customer service skills and even less knowledge. Stay away at all costs. Especially if attempting to purchase property. (Funny how they managed a quick response to this ;-) )

"Never again!"
Never again!
My case was submitted seven weeks ago. I have done many conveyancing mortgage completions prior to this so am familiar with the procedure.
The case was pretty straightforward and I submitted all the relevant documents straight away.
The online portal confirmed that the searches had been initiated but I understood that with lockdown the local authority searches would take slightly longer. In my case the local authority were taking up to four weeks.
To cut a long story short, after six weeks I was informed that the case had been sent to the wrong department! It then took a further week to transfer the file. Although this was also relayed to me in a contradictory way so my trust was rapidly diminishing. I was then informed that the searches had never been initiated!!! Then mysteriously after agreeing with the conveyancer that’s she would do her best to prioritise this, my broker received an email to say they had decided to decline my case? The reason - a complete lie - that I’d sworn on the phone to the conveyancer!!!
I’ve never dealt with a legal firm who have behaved like this before. To treat me in the manner I’ve relayed is inexcusable . To further trash my patient character and lie is disgusting!
The case, most of which is documented is now going to The Law Society. I am considering using a no win no pay solicitor for damages.

"Would never use again"
Took 8 months to sell my property, mortgage free, cash buyer, no chain. The first conveyancer in charge didn't return calls or emails and came across as totally uninterested. I asked to speak to a senior partner - no senior partner ever got back to me. Then the conveyancer abruptly left the company (no explanation was forthcoming) and it took one phone call with the potential buyer to realise they were time wasters. Had to go with this company as part of the Purple Bricks deal. When the sale finally went through, they took their slice of the pie before passing my money on - never seen that in business before, pretty sleazy. Probably in the small print but I would have appreciated a debrief on their performance first which was embarrassing and infuriating - then we could have discussed what they thought they were owed.
