"Plastic carpet protector…"
I have a plastic carpet protector recently purchased from this company given to me brand new as a present.
Needless to say that the same thing has happened to mine it self disintegrates !! , that is that the protector as now broken into 8 pieces of various shapes with sharp edges and is now totally unusable. Floor Mats UK are well aware of this problem and yet they continue to sell this rigid type or protector. Shame on you Floor Mats UK
Be warned and Please, Please avoid this company !!!!!!!

"Do not buy from them"
Do not buy from them. Office floormat cracked within one week of first use. Returns systems designed to achieve zero. Still chasing for refund. Just appalling product quality and responsibility.

"I purchased the matt from you guys…"
I purchased the matt from you guys mainly because of all of the amazing reviews it has had. Unfortunately, mine seems to be an unlucky one.
I haven't even had the matt a month when a large crack appeared on it when I rolled back on my chair.
After reaching out to customer service they asked me to post it back to them at my expense so that they could run tests on it to see if there was a problem with the plastic. I would have been happy to do this if they were based in the UK, (like their web address and google search result states), but instead they wanted me to post it to Germany. The postage would have been close to the cost of the floor matt!
I informed them that I couldn't afford to do this and I heard nothing back. I have put it in the garage and resorted to using a scrap of carpet again and the crack has grown to over 30cms long.
A bad product and terrible customer service for me I'm afraid.

"Poor product, worse customer service"
The plastic carpet protector I bought cracked within days and was in pieces after just a few weeks. I asked for a refund or replacement with a better-quality product and Floor Mats said I had to post the old one back to Germany for them to check it over. When I said that this was unreasonable because (a) they wanted me to send some giant sharp plastic shards in the post and (b) they expected me to foot the bill, they stopped responding to my emails. I tried calling and have sent multiple emails to just try and get a refund for this poor quality product but they simply do not respond.
Don't waste your time with this company.

"No customer support for faulty product!"
Purchased a Pro Series office plastic chair mat for use on a low pile carpet with a standard office (wheeled) chair. After a couple of months cracks started to appear then whole pieces of the mat broke loose. Have been trying to contact and email the Floormats Customer Service but either got no reply to any emails or kept waiting for 5 mins on their Contact phone number only to be told no-one is available or their offices are closed. Basically NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SUPPORT even though the product is deficient! Please do not use this company as, like me, it seems you'll get no recompense when their product is faulty.

"Please do not buy from this company"
Please do not buy from this company. I like many others below had the new mat only for 3 weeks and it started to crack. Contacted the company who were hopeless in dealing with and expected me to return the product to Germany to check it!! It is clear from the photos I sent it is cracked. This product is not fit for purpose. I also wish i had checked the reviews here before purchasing

"ZERO STARS- DEFECTIVE PRODUCT"
ZERO STARS- DEFECTIVE PRODUCT, VERY BAD SERVICE
I bought a chair mat for carpet floors -PRO series transparent plastic mat on 30 Oct 20 from Floor Mats UK, a division of Dayton Home & Office GmbH UK.
It was delivered a few working days later, in tightly wrapped packaging which could have only been done using dedicated machinery. I disposed of the packaging.
I placed the mat on a carpet mat, which was on the floor carpet, under my desk and on top of which I sit on an office chair. I would say this is perfectly normal use of the floor mat.
On 23 Dec 20, I emailed them to report that the mat had cracks in it and I asked for it to be replaced with a bamboo mat. I attached several photos showing the cracks.
I got a reply the same day stating "We are sincerely sorry that the products delivered to you do not meet your expectations. Every product is carefully checked for defects before being dispatched to guarantee a flawless and satisfactory delivery.
In order to be able to check the issue, we kindly request that you return the goods back to our address below:
Dayton Home & Office GmbH
Markircher Str.12a,
68229
Mannheim,
Germany."
I replied the same day, stating that it was evident from another photo attached that there is a material defect in this product and that I was not prepared to incur the time and cost to package the product and return it to Germany. I again requested the replacement.
I got a similar response on 24 Dec 20. I noted that Floormats has outsourced its customer service to Afterbuy in Germany, hence the quick but totally inflexible replies from so called 'Customer Service'.
I also noted on the Floormats UK website the following:
"Disputes between consumers and merchants in connection with online contracts of sale or online service agreements can be resolved via an online dispute resolution platform (ODR platform). This platform has been set up by the European Union and can be accessed at the ec.europa.eu consumers odr website. (Trustpilot does not allow the full link). The use of the online platform is neither necessary nor obligatory. Hence, consumers are free to assert claims without prior use of the ODR platform. We are neither willing nor obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer dispute resolution board."
This website states that after 31 Dec 2020: "Consumers resident in the UK will no longer be able to submit a new complaint on the ODR platform. They will also not be able to act on any ongoing cases in the platform, whether to send it to a dispute resolution body, contact a UK ODR advisor, or receive an outcome."
So I think that to spend any more time on trying to obtain some recompense from Floormats UK/ Dayton Home & Office will be a waste of my time.
And any UK buyer of this company's products now stands little chance of compensation for defective products.
Like others who have recently posted on Trustpilot, I feel like I have been scammed by this company.
I wish I had checked them out on Trustpilot before placing my order.
I also note, belatedly, that Floormats UK does not carry any customer reviews- another oversight on my part.
20 out of 22 Reviewers in the past year on Google in its maps section also relate horrible stories- most 0f them identical to my experience of floor mats cracking. The people responsible for this business should be prosecuted.

"ZERO STARS"
ZERO STARS! DO NOT TRUST Floor Mats UK - if you have any problem with their goods they will not even consider replacing or refunding unless you return the item(s) to Germany at your own expense. I lost £49 to this company buying on office mat that cracked after less than 2 weeks of use... It is an appalling rip-off to name your company as "UK" when it is actually based in Germany!

"Beware. Questionable products from an unquestionably poor company."
Beware. Floor mat cracked within a couple of months and then disintegrated totally over the next few weeks. I could return the mat in a shoe box if only I could contact the company to organize a replacement or refund. I have sent numerous emails, used their online contact form and phoned at least 5 times over the last month. No response whatsoever.
They also sent the wrong size mat. It was larger than I requested but fit well enough so I didn’t complain. This company is basically inept and bordering on fraudulent with regard to their apparent policy of ignoring any replacement requests or complaints.
