They will steal your items and damage mostly all. They will not take your claims. The worst decision I ever made. They ruined almost everything I own. They won't answer the emails or call. The employees charged me more when they got to my home when I literally listed everthing they where moving. I got robbed by the employees twice. They stole items off the truck.

"Total thieves took more than 3800 to move us and Never moved us"

The company uses a third party to move items but gives a price. The 3rd party showed up with a truck that was too small and tried to charge more than double what the initial company had charged. They were smoking in my house and did not speak english well enough that we could work with them. I am not going to be extorted out of money.

"HORRIBLE COMPANY"

If I could give zero stars I would. We just experienced the worst move of our entire lives. My family and I just moved from Maryland to Texas and America's Moving & Storage assigned South Van lines to pack up and deliver our items. We ended up paying 3 times the original quoted amount and had to pay 80% up front. Because the truck was not big enough the movers had to come back the following day to pack up the truck. One of the movers ended up hitting the wall and broke through the dry wall. Only $200 was deducted from our balance even though we don't know how much the parts and labor will cost our previous landlord. Then we confirmed twice that everything would be delivered on 12/30/2022 as we flew to Houston on 12/29/2022. The movers never called so on the morning on 12/30 my husband and I move into our new home with our newborn and toddler just to learn that we would have zero furniture. The truck driver and company stopped answering my calls so I ended up learning through America's Moving & Storage that our belongings were in a trailer back in Maryland and that they wouldn't arrive for another week. We were forced pay for two cribs and an air mattress for my husband and I as we have no family or friends in the area. We also had to buy clothing from our children and a lot of food as all our clothes were on the truck along with a bin of pantry items we had bought in advance. On 12/30 we finally got a call that the driver would arrive on 1/6/2022 at 1pm. I cancelled a client I was scheduled to see so that there would not be any interruption. The driver called close to 2pm and said it would be another hour. He finally did not show up until 5:30pm so I lost out on money for absolutely no reason. Finally when he arrived and the movers unloaded the truck, we discovered 1 damaged piece of furniture. As it was so late and dark outside I helped the movers unpack large items but some of them had to leave so majority of the items were not unpacked. We paid for assembly of large furniture but did not have our bed set up or the dining room table, etc. Finally once everyone was gone I saw that my brand new office desk was completely broken to the point unrecognizable, my office chair had a broken leg, dining room table dented, toddler's chair cut, sectional stained with mud, hamper bent up, speakers destroyed, headboards scratched up, etc. I have never experienced anything like this. I called the driver many times and of course he is ignoring my calls. On top of everything we paid extra to move in on the 30th when we could have been back home or at a hotel comfortable instead of living like we were in a third world country with our two babies. We still have yet to be reimbursed and are missing several boxes. STAY AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS!

"Do not do business with this company"

I had singed a contract for a moving company back in June of 2022. Move date was set for the 25-26th. I canceled the contract well within their required 24 period but they have no record of this. On the 1st of July I was contacted because the payment failed to process no other contact was initiated. They had never intended to fulfill the contract that they had me sign. When the contract was canceled I was advised that no payment would be pulled and there were no attempts on my account for the draft. American moving and freight has since sent this “debt” to collections when no service or product was provided. They are claiming that I owe them over $2,000.00 for a non refundable security deposits again for a service never provided. I have attempted to contact American moving and freight to resolve this amicably but they insisted I contact the collection company for resolution. This debt should have not exited in the first place and the collection company’s only response is that I need to pay my debt obligation.

"SPAM"

They posed as movers but later turned out as brokers. The movers they employed not only stole our stuff but broke, rampaged and caused immense emotional and financial damage to our property. On filing a claim they offered only $100 for $4000 worth of damage. They should be penalized.

"Not a legitimate movers. Avoid at any cost"

First thing to realize is a legit moving company will not take 30% upfront payment of your total charges. I had booked with American Moving and Freight, only to realize later that this is not a company with their own ground staff and vehicles, they usually assign the task to other cheaper craigslist movers and take the commission in the process. You will never be able to talk to the same representative again after making a booking. Also, a totally different packers and movers will contact you and make their demands on increased estimates once you make the advance payment. I almost got scammed paying the 30% upfront, which again won't be returned if you cancel. I won't recommend the same experience for anyone else going through the process

American moving and Freight is a scam!!!!!!
They are broker not a Moving/storage company.
Had their accreditation pulled and just change the name a little bit and start over.
The actual movers are third-party contractors hired by American moving and Freight.
We hired them on October 12th 2022 to move my father from Arizona to Massachusetts.
We were supposed to have the truck the 13th and 14th. The movers didn't show up until the 14th in a normal van with a small trailer attached.I called customer service to complain. He supposedly had his accreditation pulled with the company for lying about the vehicle. Claiming it was a box truck as promised. It was my 92 year old father an Air Force veteran who lost $1,238.00.When his move went from a priority to a refusal of service. They kept the money and he got nothing but heartache and stress.

"Absolutely disgusting "business""

Absolutely disgusting and deplorable tactics used by this "company". These thieves will quote a "too good to be true" price, and WILL... not if... WILL add "fees" or extras without a single notice. Sometimes even after the pick up your items, therefore you cannot back out now that they are holding your belongings hostage. Called to schedule delivery and still have not heard back. They will also try to justify their practices with zero remorse or guilt. DO NOT USE THESE P.O.S.'s!!!

Don’t use this company please trust and believe me,they broke most of my stuff and stole my son PlayStation and triple the price,please believe the negative comments about them,I wish i did before using them
