"This company is a fraud!"
This company is a fraud. They are liars and they cheat people out of their money. They told my mom she was obligated to a contract thru 2023 which she never agreed to. Allegedly they sent her a mail agreement which she never received. My mom looks throughly at every piece of mail she gets. She did not get a contract renewal from these people Jan 2021. The service sucks it beeps nonstop and they don't want to send someone out for another $99 to replace parts she can't reach or get into. Wth! With what she paid for the service there should be no fee to fix their own equipment. FRAUD, THIEVES, LIARS
3.22.21 Update. They sent my mom the agreement she allegedly signed. It is not her signature. Legal matter now.

"Bad business practice"
I was told at the point of sale that this was not a contract and they would buy out what I had left with the other company. The sales rep lied to me and said it was month to month. I have asked the other people who signed up the same night abd they all did not know that it was a 5 year agreement. There is a limit of how many videos you can have in month, how is that security? So we i hit the limit I have no video recorded when the motion is activated or doorbell is rung.
Fluent you should be ashamed of yourself. This is fraud and deceptive

If I could provide a zero rating I would. I live in Ontario Canada. This company is the worst to deal with. The lengthy and negative comments you read about them is the same experience that I have had. I sent a UPS letter with a tracking number to cancel the service and paid the entire contract. Even though that occurred, they still withdrew money from my account, along with taking my money to pay off the contract. When you call to speak with them (a Canadian calling an American company by the way....) they are never receptive, or at other times never reachable at all! Their hours are deplorable and never available for resolutions on the weekend. This company is a farce to deal with and steal your money. They are very negligent in their practices. Please do you due diligence before handling any contracts with this company.

So many complaints similar to my situation, bought another contract from someone these guys and wont cancel tried several times to cancel by writing emailing, calling etc. All they care about is those evergreen clauses and taking money without actually providing services, these guys need to be sued and not permitted to do business in Canada. Unethical practices. Avoid them at all cost, they will eventually sell your account to another company called api alarm etc.

"An absolute nightmare"
An absolute nightmare. I have been paying for the past 4 months despite calling and asking them to cancel my services. Their stuff doesn’t work and customer service is non existent. Go with Telus home instead!

"My doorbell camera quit working"
My doorbell camera quit working. I tried to call for days with no answer. When it said leave a message it hung up before I could even give my name. I tried several times to leave a message and the same thing happened. They told me they would cancel my service with the alarm system I already had but didn't. I was being charged each month by 2 alarm companies until I had to cancel my debit card. Needless to say I tried several months to cancel my previous alarm company but was under contract that Fluent assured me was paid off by them. Now I am in credit collections because on fixed retirement income, I couldn't pay the cancellation fee. Several people in my area have the same problem. Fluent sucks!!!

"Do not do business with this company"
Do not do business with this company. Do not sign any contracts. They provide poor support - I've had a low battery issue on my alarm for year they never did fix. After a 5 year contract, when I called to stop the billing, suddenly they tell me I've been auto renewed - which is complete nonsense (there's no such clause in my contract... they refuse to elaborate on their end) It's no where in my contract. I did not agree to an auto renew, they did not reach out to me if I was ok with an auto renew and they still will not let me out of this contract... for an alarm I've not been able to use for over 3 years because they've never been able to fix my technical issue!
Avoid this company at all cost! Do not sign anything!!!!!!

We(my mother) got suckered into switching from another service provider(who I really liked and they actually did what they said they would, app worked better, cameras actually recorded incidents or movement, etc.) they promised my mother a lower price, and THEY even called this other provider we were with for my mother and pretended to be us to get us out of our contract with them and into a contract with fluent, which I was never apart of or knew was happening or I would've had some serious words for them. Apparently these salesmen for fluent were leaving their job and just wanted one final sale to finish up. The app is horrible, 80% of the time it doesn't even function, I can't view my camera, the camera doesn't record any events unless someone rings the doorbell(not what we were told), it's supposed to call us if there's an alarm to check we're okay first before calling authorities, it doesn't do that, we had a fire alarm go off when we were cooking and instead of calling us after we shut the alarm off they just sent the cops and fire department. Wasted their time. When we complained directly to FLUENT we were basically told there is nothing they can do because we were trapped into a contract and if we cancel the service we'd have to pay a ridiculous amount of money to get out of it. Absolutely horrible service and overall experience with this company and I do not suggest ever using any of their services.

"Buyer BEWARE"
I have had Fluent alarm for about a year they came to my house when I first purchased the house and wanted to put a sign on my front door in exchange I was told by the rep that I would receive a free month of monitoring and a free system. The rep continued to tell me that the system will be 100% free because my house was in "a good advertising location and stood out." and informed me that if it wasn't working out I could cancel at anytime. he failed to mention the 2 thousand dollar cancelation fee so I had the system installed that night at around 1900hrs after having the system for maybe 6 months I had spilled one of those scented oil melts on the top of my wood stove causing a small fire that set off my Fluent alarm as it should. I then proceeded to deal with the fire myself and after it was dealt with I was wondering why there was no response from the fire department and no call through my fluent Alarm as they had told me if I didn't answer the phone they would come over the alarm system almost 3hrs later a lone Fireman showed up to my house asking if I was okay. After some thought I had decided that if the system wasn't going to work when I needed it to I wasn't going to continue paying for it. Fluent Offered to fix the system but in my view the system is new their shouldn't be anything to fix something like this NEEDS to work the first time and the piece of Chinese plastic they mounted to my wall isn't doing it with a break and enters or fire you don't get a second chance. After me having multiple angry phone calls trying to cancel and they REFUSE to terminate my contract they expect me to continue paying for a service that when only 6 months old had I not been home that system would have done nothing to prevent my house from burning down. BUYER BEWARE- Fluent uses shady business tactics to get you into a 36 month contract that has a 2 thousand dollar cancelation Fee. and they will absolutely not allow you to cancel your service without trying to strong arm massive penalties and threating to Write off your contract to be sent to a 3rd Party collections agency.
