"Horrible horrible company during Covid"

Horrible horrible company. Tried to cancel after my contract but will not allow it because they said I had a false alarm owing amount.

"Same as so many before me"

Same as so many before me. I tried to call and cancel my subscription months before it was up not remembering the actual date. When we finally did get a hold of them they said we had to call back in September to cancel. We tried. Never getting an answer. Finally in on NOVEMBER 4th we get an answer. We told them we needed to cancel. They proceeded to tell us we had to cancel in writing 3 days prior to our subscription being up. We told them we tried to cancel multiple times in the prior months and nobody said anything about canceling in writing. Yes I get the contract states that. We did not remember but since we tried calling BEFORE our membership was up someone could have easily reminded us of this but did not. They even said they saw where we tried to cancel prior to our membership being up. They said they couldn’t do anything for us. I asked to speak to a manager and he said he was the lead in charge. I asked for his bosses contact information and he did give me his email.
So even though he could see we tried to cancel multiple times prior to our contract being up, knowing nobody reminded us to do It in writing 3 days prior, knowing the company failed to answer our calls or leave messages when they called, he couldn’t cancel the contract. I told him I would be filing a claim with the BBB and he said okay. I will be fighting this. Wish me luck.

"THEY GAVE OUR DATA TO A FELON?!?!"

Fluent is being sued in Utah for giving its customers info to a felon that did time for bank fraud!!! I'm talking bank account numbers, social security, the whole bit ....You can go get a government PACER account and see for yourself. I coudnt believe what I'm reading!

Who do we contact about this? Do we have to sue, or can we just call and cancel? How do we protect ourselves!

"Terrible Company"

I’ve been with Fluent for more than 5 years and trying to pay off the remaining15 months but this company overcharged me and couldn’t even provide me the breakdown or details of the charges. I’ve been trying to contact them several times but this Resolution department always in the meeting. I was forced to pay the amount since I didn’t know where to seek help or assistance to investigate this matter. My advice is not to trust this company because you will regret it the rest of your life. NEGATIVE STAR for Fluent.

"Fluent is crap"

Fluent has the worst resolution security cameras, horrible website, ridiculous over head mark up on Garbage technology also employees thieves to help them take advantage of many many many people.
they are not a consumer company. They offer home security through "voice contracts over the phone" once they get what they need to hold you they start to play the bad guys. terrible service horrible contracts. id rather pay to the collections than pay them.

"Same experience as everyone"

Same experience as everyone. I signed with alarmtek and somehow fluent took over my contract. My five years is up and I try to cancel and they say we have auto renewed you for two more years. You owe us 1500.00. And we never received written notice. Well all they have to do is not answer the phone and throw their mail out. Two year auto renewal. Completely unethical. Also unethical to steal my contract without knowledge. This company cannot be cancelled. Now they are trying to send me to collections. This company needs to be on marketplace.

"Fluent is soulless"

Fluent is a soulless, evil company. After we had them for approximately 18 months, my Mom passed and we had to move home to stay with Dad. No problem, we thought, Fluent told us when we signed up that we could take the system with us. EXCEPT they didn't have any certified installers where we were moving, so they essentially shrugged and told us we could just pay off the remaining 3.5 years of our contract. When I told them they were in breach of contract and I wouldn't be paying anything more, I was sent to collections. One "collections agent" had the audacity to tell me I had enough money in my bank account/credit accounts to pay it off. Another told my wife "We didn't give you permission to move." Eventually they backed off, since they knew they were in breach, but I still get collections calls every 3-4 years. The absolute dregs of society.

"Zero stars"

Zero stars. This is the absolute worst company I have ever worked with. We signed a 60 month contract a year ago when the economy was strong and we had 2 incomes in our household. This year, 2020, has been hard financially so when I phoned to find out options about canceling, the person was so RUDE, and told me there was nothing they were willing to do. They couldn't offer me less services for a lower bill. He wouldn't let me talk to someone higher up. And got angry at me. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Not willing to do anything for their customers in a global PANDEMIC!

"Worse alarm company ever"

Worse alarm company ever. Had problems with the equipment they installed incorrectly they wanted to charge me for the technician to return to fix it. When my contract was finally up they automatically renewed it 2 months before the original end date. I had no plans on using them ever again. They gave me a hard time trying to cancel the auto renewal. Just plain nasty and rude because i didnt want to use their services anymore.

"Buyer Be Aware"

Fluent is extremely difficult to cancel, and extremely unprofessional. We had a faulty system for 8 months, and the company indicated to us on the phone that it was okay our system showed as faulty on our end because on their end the system did not show this. They did not come to fix this problem despite our calls.
When we tried cancelling it took over 4 days for anyone to get back to us through email, despite our daily phone calls. Any issues that we have had they have taken over 24 hours to connect with us. When they call during a work day, and you can't answer, trying to get back to someone is ridiculous and not possible. They have tried to have us pay the 80% to cancel the contract, despite them not fixing the issues with their system - therefore breaching the contract signed. What is the point of having a system that doesn't work correctly - having us have to bypass sensors to even set the alarm, defeating the purpose of the sensor in the first place.
I have never been so disgusted with a company and their lack of customer service. This is a first for me to write a review. I feel it necessary for people to see the reality of what they could possibly be purchasing, and not take the perspective of how the company portrays their amazing service. Buyer definitely be aware.
