"Average service. Poor company."

Given no choice about this maintenance company to buy our house.
No option to change, no option to put land back to the council, no choice for price increases or supplementry charges.
Average ground maintenance.
Recent guy spent half his time on his phone or smoking.
Poor or standard prewritten follow up on issues.
We seem to have it better than others which shows how much one star means!

"Cowboy company !!!!!"

I have given 1 star because I had to but it would be a 0!! They have tried and tried to charge us while our estate is still being built and owned by TW. The bills are rising and they keep sending out letters. They over charge for work they do not complete or maintain. Photo evidence is there to back that they don’t maintain the land. They are a cowboy scheme!! Scotland have faught and got out of it so why should the rest of the country be any different??! They refuse to show evidence to justify there bills. Horrible company who try to pick on people !!! Don’t pay these people a penny !!

"No stars would be better"

Had to give one star as it was not possible to leave none. Greenbelt charge maintenance money to maintain bits of land around a new build estate. Trouble is the work is poor and the charges excessive. They start low then proceed to raise the cost every year and charge you in advance for fictional work and visits that have not yet happened. If you don’t pay they send out letters which really are not worth the paper they are written on and have no legal standing either. Residents do not have a written contract with these people, commercial or otherwise. These charges are uncapped too. There are on going court cases against Greenbelt about their methods. There has been a successful case in Scotland so far. It’s a case of a bunch of people organising contractors to do grass cutting etc and adding on charges to make money from doing not much. It’s a bit like the PPI scam. Hopefully the outcome of the UK court cases against them will get rid of them and put them in their place.

"Don’t buy a house if these are your maintenance company"

Had I known that we would be subject to so called service by this shoddy work shy bullying company I never would have bought my house.

The work is appalling and customer service don’t care.

We pay for a site inspection after each visit - which tells me that the inspector is as lazy and work shy as the worker. There has been netting on a path for over four years. It is potentially a trip hazard and yet it hasn’t been rectified.

We have been subject to ridiculous charges for maintenance which was not greenbelts to maintain yet they cannot adequately maintain the area for which they charge.

My bill will remain in disputed until I am billed in line with my title deeds - check these and your landscape plan.

Because of their harassment I have made a formal police complaint.

If you haven’t signed the deal for your new house yet do yourself a favour and research who will maintain your communal areas. If it’s this company back out!

"Poor service."

As expressed by so many, no transparency over work done or billing. I have resided on one of their estates for over 12 years and costs have risen every year. I have watched many times their grass cutting teams take about 20 minutes to cut the small areas that they own, but we have the privilege of paying them to cut. Never seen a play park inspection, EVER, but we pay a high price for this service. The whole industry and secret deals and 3rd party contractors connected to individuals with GB is just a disgrace.

It’s a pity FOI only applies to government organisations as this lot would be found out.

Like others, 1 star is 1 too many.

Update following GB response. Perhaps if you read it properly instead of trying to be sarcastic and misleading. I never said the gardeners did play park inspections, why would they? I said no one did because in 13 years I have never seen one nor any my neighbours. As for contractors my comment was that they are not 3rd party they are all linked to your company and directors. So the cycle of feeding your trough exists. A rip off company with no transparency.

Our experience is sadly all too similar to so many that came before.

A lack of transparency, no willingness to evidence any of the work listed as having been performed on the invoice and very little physical evidence of any actual work performed.

A sad indictment of corporate ethics in the construction industry.

One star is, as so many have said, too positive.

"Terrible service"

Terrible service, not interested in making your neighborhood and community a pleasant place to live within, only interested in money and to perform as little maintenance they can get away with.
~50% of raised income is lost in admin / profit
Never able to show quarterly estate audits, when repeatably asked for, which implies they never take place. Always blames the local contractors, which is unfair as they select them and monitor them.
All their role should be is to manage maintenance, collect fees and work closely within each community to ensure a good days pay for a good days work.
This company isnt transparent and bullies it's customers with strongly worded worst case scenario statements for payments that have been known to be inaccurate at best. They rely on busy middle class people not having time to complain, this is a service company at its worse. They impact families all throughout the UK not just the odd local estate, please take time to read the similar themes within trustpilot and a wider reach by searching in Google. The complaints against them arent just by the one or two disgruntled customers. The press is starting to pick up on the poor level of maintenance and the elevated prises. All the issues noted have been occuring for 10 years and should be easy for a company to rectify and be transparent. A simple local management plan for each estate that is agreed to, published, adhered to and discussed with the community would be a great start but there is no motivation to do so with the current leadership and so nothing is going to change any time soon. Which is a missed opportunity as it could be a great company. It's a shame seeing the company started from a local government service with people and community as it's founding principles.

It's also interesting that rather than improving upon the poor comments and less than one 🌟 rating in trustpilot they try and fight them to get them removed. They need to stop, think and take a look at what they do from a customer's point of view from root to branch. They start and finish from a "we know best" little person patronising point of view. You can't rewrite history but you can improve the future. Treat your customers with respect Greenbelt and they will respect you back. This is the whole point of general public reviews.

Poor service, high fees increasing above the terms of reference, unwilling to improve, hides behind flakey legal standpoints and isn't on your side to maintain the surroundings you live within.

"Charges are unclear and not backed up…"

Charges are unclear and not backed up with any paperwork. Requested invoices to validate and I'm still waiting 5 months later. Always claim a monthly site visit, never seen anyone carrying out any visits. Greedy company who charge ridiculous amounts of money to cut grass and that's all they do as they claim everything else is not their responsibility.

"Robbers!"

What a bunch of robbers. Every house in my estate pays a ridicules amount of money every year to have a tiny piece of grass cut badly. I have questioned them about the work done and the cost and basically told just to pay it as that is what I agreed to when I bought the house. Avoid them if you can.
