"Appalling organisation"

Appalling organisation. We are bound by our deeds to pay them FOREVER and can never change them. We have repeatedly asked for details of what they supposedly do which they ignore. They treat customers with utter contempt as they are a monopoly with no accountability. We are at a loss to understand what we are paying for as they appear to do nothing more than cut the grass a few times in the summer but we pay thousands to them. They give a different answer or excuse every time you call and have no customer service. An utter disgrace.
Response to Greenbelt's response. Firstly.. its an example of your customer service that its taken you almost 2 years to respond to my review. You have not made us aware of any document on your website until now and since I have been with you for 13 years how would I know it had been added. I was given no choice when I bought the house as it was written into my deeds and made no mention of changing but i shall investigate. As for the list of what you cover. I called several times and emailed a request for this all of which you ignored. So around 13 years later you have sent a list of what you are supposed to do... we have one area of grass which is very infrequently cut surrounded by a few hedges of one type of shrub as far as I can tell. Certainly nothing I would describe as ornamental or agricultural. The lighting column broke and we had to tell you. Your customer service (ha) person told us that you would not know as you only sent people round to check the lights during the day when they were not on (!!!!). You then refitted the wrong lamp.. a daylight lamp which beamed in through my window and not matching the other softer orange lamps. You did not fit the correct cover to direct the light down. I notified you of this and you said you would charge extra (!! ) to fix even though it was your fault in the first place. You did not. It broke again about 4 months ago.. and remains unfixed. The car park is pitch black. So essentially as far as I can tell we collectively pay for you to cut the grass once a month in summer. You do virtually nothing else.. and the local community has had to advertise for volunteers to fix the hedges around the pathways towards the back as they were so overgrown. We have no timber fences and no watercourse for you to maintain. In summary this is a lazy cut and paste reply from your other responses and does not match our site. Interestingly since I don't state where I live intrigued to know how you have investigated this.

"A 5star for bad service."

Is this company even regulated for demanding money from its customers in which little/no service is provided. Unreliable, unresponsable, unreasonable. Stay clear of this so called 'management company'. Very poor.

"Greenbelt: a money making scheme."

A company who refuses to give precise breakdowns of their costs, does not see the need or requirement to inform their ‘customers’. They have monopolised the management market and it is purely a money making machine for little effort. Customer service is abysmal and has the attitude of arrogance when questioned.

6 years later nothing has changed. Let down by a government who allow this scam to continue with no governance or oversight.

"Avoid. Avoid. Avoid."

This company is accountable and responsible for the management of communal green spaces on many new developments, including ours, by placement of a burden on the title deed of your new home. They then charge you a management fee yearly to "cover the cost" of the maintenance. In year 1 we paid around 66 pounds, which then rose to over 80 pounds and is now standing at around 120 pounds, an increase of over 90% since year 1. This is all despite the burden stating they can't raise by more than the Retail Price Index that year, yet they continue to do so, then when challenged they have been rude and unhelpful in my personal experience. Avoid this company at all costs and if buying a home on a new or recent development, be sure to check you're not caught with a burden to this company.

"Unsatisfactory, unprofessional,unfair. !!!!!"

I concur with all the negative comments that have already been written about Greenbelt Group.
They are totally disreputable and the business model that they operate is focussed solely on shareholder value.

"Any developer working with this company should be ashamed."

"This company's operating model could be questionable"*. Excessively charging - then "behaving in ways that I believe are immoral, that could also be seen as bullying and pestering"* to push home owners into paying money they may not owe in exchange for a service they often don't provide. The sooner the directors and management are brought to justice the better. *Had to reword my review according to Trustpilot user guidelines.

"Corrupt"

This company is an absolute joke, they charge you upfront for work they do not carry out. And then demand late fees if you do not pay upfront.
Better yet if you question their service and request they actually carry out the services they are supposed to provide they threaten court action if you don't pay on time (for services they have not carried out in years).

Local councils should be looking into this company- it is shameful what they do

"Best steer clear."

The best description that I can give of this group is that it is an expensive, non-performing Amenity Management company who seem resistant to supplying information and who appear totally to ignore any request for clarity of charges. My advice would be not to have any dealings with them and do not think of purchasing a property where they are named as the managers of the common areas.

"Avoid!"

i would give no stars if i could,

When buying our house we were told once the land is fully adopted we would be charged a small amount to contribute to the maintenance work, I've lived in my house since April this year 2017 and I've been billed twice to the total of £113.59 even thought the land hasn't been fully adopted. When you try contact them they brush you off or ignore your comments, they wont provide any type of list of work they've meant to of carried out. the only areas we have they can look after would be the grass which is never cut so how I've been charged £113.59 for un cut grass i dont know!! Avoid these at all cost. they charge what they like for work there just not doing! I've never seen any work men, greenbelt vans nothing on my estate who they get away with this i dont know!
