"Highly recommend PeopleCert"
The whole purchasing experience was really easy, I could locate my course, find the right training method for my needs and complete my details etc.
When the e-book was available, I could use it straight away.
The proctor exam was really easy to navigate and test my laptop meets the requirements.

"The test process went very well"
The test process went very well. I did have issue after hitting submit on my exam. I was presented with a blank white screen and no indication of what to do. I didn't want to jeopardize my test results. I messaged my test proctor three times and waited 20 minutes. A different proctor eventually responded and told me to x out of the survey (blank white screen). I then was able to see my results.

"Very complication procedure before exam…"
Very complication procedure before exam making the candidate in a stressful situation.
I don't like the step of showing the room, you enter in the privacy of the candidate. I don't appreciate that.
You should have an francophone agent available to explain the instructions.

"No proper invigilation"
The exam platform was very user-friendly but I was surprised that it was not a lockdown browser. Without a lockdown browser, I expected the exam to be properly invigilated, which it was not. Also, in the preamble to the exam it was mentioned that cellphones were prohibited, and yet one candidate's phone rang twice, and was answered in the exam room. It was also mentioned that if a candidate finished the exam before the testing period was complete, they should remain quiet and seated, but multiple candidates finished and left before the exam period was over. The invigilators made a lot of prescriptive statements and then proceeded to not enforce them. It was very distracting and disappointing.

"Misleading Advertising & Unfair Practices"
Misleading Advertising & Unfair Practices - ITIL 4 Specialist Certification (Exam ID: 3161396)
Despite several attempts to resolve the matter, I am still facing confusion, inconvenience, and an unnecessary financial burden due to unclear and misleading communication on your website.
When I initially purchased the exam, I believed I had completed all necessary requirements for certification based on the information provided. Specifically, the website states, “Training through an Accredited Training Organisation or official eLearning course.” The phrasing and the similarity between “Official eLearning” and “Official eBook” led me to assume that the “Official eBook” offered by PeopleCert would meet the eLearning requirement. There is no clear distinction between these two options, which has caused significant confusion.
I also want to emphasise that I successfully passed the exam with a score of 85%, solely by studying your official eBook. This highlights the absurdity of the situation—having effectively prepared for and passed the exam based on the official materials you provided, I now find myself being told that I still need to take an additional course in order to receive my certificate.
Now, I am being informed that, in order to receive my certification, I must either find a third-party provider offering the official eLearning or repurchase the entire course through PeopleCert. If I choose the latter, I would have to buy the course again, as the certificate voucher and the e-learning cannot be separated. This additional cost is frustrating and unnecessary, especially given that I relied on the information presented to me during the purchase process.
While I understand that PeopleCert offers multiple course options, the lack of clarity regarding what constitutes an “official eLearning course” versus the “Official eBook” constitutes misleading advertising, which I believe may violate UK consumer protection laws. Specifically, I believe this could fall under:
The Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 – The ambiguous and unclear distinction between the eBook and eLearning course misleads consumers and creates unnecessary financial burdens.
The Consumer Rights Act 2015 – The lack of transparency regarding the certification requirements and what is included in the purchase may not align with the legal requirement to provide services as described.
Despite my multiple attempts to address this issue with your customer service team, I have yet to receive a satisfactory response that fully acknowledges the miscommunication or offers a reasonable resolution.
