"What five year warranty ???"

Apparently a five year warranty for a bathroom vanity unit doesn't even last a few months and doesn't cover condensation in a bathroom ! I won't make the mistake of buying their products in the future.
They say to contact the retailer (Bathshack) and the retailer says they have spoken to the manufacturer and no one wants to take responsibility

"£330 for a shower - should last longer than 18 months!"

Bought a £330 Hudson Reed shower (with 3-year warranty) through We Love Bathrooms (WLB) on eBay. 18 months later, the thermostatic valve went out. I contacted WLB about the warranty and they got back to me quickly, saying they would contact Hudson Reed to see if the warranty included the valve. But after that, WLB never got back to me - in spite of multiple follow-up messages.

I contacted Hudson Reed directly and they said they might be able to help me out with the part if WLB would give the green light (hence 2 stars instead of 1). Because WLB ignored my many follow-up messages, I finally paid for the valve (and labour) myself.

I do think that WLB is the main problem here. Still, I find it shocking that a £330-shower can stop working after 18 months and the fault not be covered by the three-year warranty. And I don’t understand why Hudson Reed couldn’t help with this even without WLB’s green light.

"Awful customer service "

Wanted a thread size of a spout that had been snapped off as it wasn’t a standard size, was asked to send a picture in and someone would get back to me, no one did. Found out the model of the bath filler myself and rang again to ask for a thread size and was the spout sold as a spare, the guy didn’t know and asked me to send a picture and someone would get back to me, no one has, three emails were sent last week. Another example of a major manufacturer with awful customer service and a small plumbing company who sorts it whatever it takes for their customer

"Following a previous review...."

Following a previous review, where 1 star was given due to a few of my pop up wastes that didn't hold water... I am now giving 4 stars for customer service. Credit where credit is due, Hudson Reed took my complaint seriously and I now have a satisfactory resolution.

"Staff use every excuse to avoid…"

Staff use every excuse to avoid warranty claims!!! I purchased a Hudson reed waterfall shower head, all the shower nibs started to fall off. I contacted Hudson reed for a replacement part, but the excuses they used was unreal I was told to purchase my own spares from eBay? even though spares are unable to be fitted due to it being a sealed unit!! So staff do even know their own products or how they are built!!!! I will add some of the replies I received below. The issue with the nozzles breaking off is due to the condensation inside the shower head that then runs onto the shower nozzles unit that is separate and not fixed down, it just sit within the holes so they poke through, this is where the water builds around the nozzles and causes corrosion, resulting in breaking away. And they say it’s not a manufacturer fault!!! Looking at the reviews from others I would say there warranty claims are never honoured to the customer, this company needs to be avoided if you want a product to last longer than a year!!! Be careful because they also use other names attached to the Hudson reed group.

HI

Sorry you are not happy with the previous replies,
I have been reading through the emails, and what we have advised is correct,

The nozzles breaking and coming away is not a manufacturing defect,
The temperature of the water would not cause this to happen,
This has happened over time due to the hardness of the water,

This is not classed as a manufacturing defect as this is outside of our control,

Unfortunately we do not have any of the rubber nozzles as a spare but these are available to purchase online from several different retailers,

Regards
