Addenduem: Saul was true to his word and I just received a thank you note from my grandson. . .Just two days late. Nonetheless, I waited it out because I particularly wanted him to have an Amtrack gift card to contribute to his visits with his girlfriend in Chicago.

"Issuing invalid Gift cards"
Was gifted a $50 gift card and chose to redeem it for Sephora. Giftcards.com processed the GC and sent me the Sephora GC but once I try and use online it doesn’t recognize it and says it is invalid. I have tried numerous times to contact Giftcards.com and response to help with my issue.

UPDATE 12 September 2024. Apparently, gift cards.com needs more information in order to better respond to my complaint. My review contains the case number they assigned to the complaint I filed with them in July. They don’t need my phone number. They have my email. They can contact me directly by email as they have previously. They know exactly what card this involves, and they could resolve this problem if they wanted to. However, it is more profitable for them to not resolve these cases. One merely has to read the other reviews related to unusable cards already paid for and the funds are pocketed by this pathetic excuse for a company. Trustpilot should consider allowing negative stars for reviews of businesses that operate this way and then pretend to “need more information” to resolve the issue. I will just do a one star weekly update until the issue is resolved which probably means I will be doing them for years.
ORIGINAL REVIEW
I received a gift card and was never able to use it. Several days of the big run around via email. I provided details about the card their customer service requested and photos of the card. They had all the information they needed to resolve the issue, but it’s clearly more convenient for them to keep the money. They clearly know the value and all other details including the value of the charges attempted on the card (which I did provide). If the card value I was told upon receipt was different than the actual amount, I have no way of knowing it. It is however a convenient excuse for keeping someone else’s money. If it can’t be resolved, at least the money should be returned to the original purchaser. Instead, this company very conveniently keeps the money taking a monthly fee for doing nothing. This company is a joke at best and something else entirely at worst.
This was their last reply after they resolved nothing except to keep the money from the gift card for themselves.
The “resolution reached” was they kept the money. They had more than enough information to overcome their deep concern for my security.
