I am just Going to aware all buyer's those want to buy or service any car from this seat pentagon branch or nay seat pentagon branch
Really had a bad experience
Bought car in November with finance from seat pentagon Chilwell after 2 weeks later many time try to speak with them they always said we will ring back but never received any call and they always ignored
Now after 14 month later my 2 payments was missing and finance company booked recovery team to take car back
They nocked my door 7Am morning like a police amd asking with screaming hey come out
When i opened door and i said i didn't got any letter i missed payments leave the car i will pay now my missing payment but they said we need car now and this car already been sold
After weeks later car still not sold also tru to contact with seat pentagon Chilwell notingham and seat pentagon oldham both said we can't do anything
Even my car is Reg 68 Plate and 4 year warranty
But they ignored with bad behavior
I can't accept
I will see these both companies in court
How they can dare
But i want to mentioned again avoid seat pentagon otherwise you will be badly disappointed
They are so Rude and they don't care about you are their customers i have 3 kids when i applied for other car they rejected my application due to the amount rhey put on my credit history
When i bought car price was £8000 now they took car back and don't want to give me back they put on my credit history £10800 even i don't have their car
That's mean i can't get any car with finance because they put on my credit history
If you can pay court feeses you can buy from them and with CA Auto Finance company
Because till your court desceion you can't buy any car

"Good points (and not so good)."

This is quite a difficult review to write as there are good and bad points to my experience. I bought a used Mercedes that Pentagon Group had taken as a trade-in. The car was in excellent condition and I was really pleased with both the car and the pre-sales service I received. On driving it some 160 miles home, I had just arrived when an engine check light came on. I acquired a fault code reader and it appeared to be the NOx sensor (a common issue on Mercedes diesel engines). I contacted Pentagon and they immediately authorised me to take it to a local mechanic to have the fault properly diagnosed. The mechanic came to the same conclusion, and offered to replace the sensor for £450 plus VAT. They also noticed the parking break was not staying on when the foot pedal was depressed.

Pentagon declined to let me repair the car locally and proceeded to dispatch a loan car all the way to Surrey and drove my Mercedes back to their Lincoln garage on 11th December. There it sat on their fourcourt while they waited for advice from Mercedes on how to proceed. After a week, there was still no news and Christmas was fast approaching. Eventually, they said that Mercedes would have to do the work to replace the NOx sensor, so this was booked in but not until after Christmas. The work was apparently done on the 27th/28th December (they also dealt with an outstanding recall to the steering rack while it was there). The car then remained at Mercedes until12th January (!) because of an administrative mix up which meant intercompany invoices hadn't been paid. During this time I was emailing and calling every few days for progress updates, but these were only occasionally answered. Finally, after involving the manager, bills were able to be paid and the car returned from Mercedes.

Pentagon insisted on fixing the parking brake issue themselves which they managed to do at no cost to them after I sent them a YouTube video of what the likely cause was. I'm finally expecting the car back today, some 5 weeks since it was returned to them.

In summary - Good that they totally owned the responsibility for repairing the car and leant me a courtesy car for over a month while it was being fixed. Bad, in that there was no sense of urgency in getting it back to me - the job should have taken one day and could have been sorted be me locally if they'd just let me. It has cost them goodness knows what to get Mercedes main dealer to do the work, plus put an extra 350 miles on my car in the process. Add that to the cost of me running around in a brand new Renault for a month and you can't help think their decision was a false economy.

"Used cars"

Used cars - Martyn was outstanding from the minute we viewed our new car and took it on a test drive to the minute we bought our new car home. Open, honest and nothing was too much trouble. Great service, great guy and most importantly a great car! Thank you, would highly recommend

"Rude staff"

Rude staff, recalled my car, next day engine management light came on. Went to an independent garage to avoid the stupid cost. Cos diagnosis code went into pentagon no help at all. Wanted £120 to do another diagnostics. When I was told it the engine light was related to the recall.

"I asked many questions about a vehicle…"

I asked many questions about a vehicle on the auto trade site and they got back to me quickly. Then they sent a video, everything was fine until now. I queried the license plate of the vehicle and there was no significant problem. But late in the evening, they suddenly increased the vehicle price by £3000. When I asked about this, they stopped responding to my e-mails and I finally got a call back. You can understand the seriousness and professionalism of the company here.

"Cancelled car due to incompetence"

Turned up to order a SEAT ibiza on the motorbility scheme and whilst we were there everybody was your best friend and all was grand. That was until I left. Everytime I tried to follow up I was fobbed off. Somebody would tell me one thing and somebody else another thing. Was always promised a call back and never received one so had to always chase them.
Once I said I wanted to cancel the attitude on them was totally unprofessional and ignorant. I wish I'd read all of these reviews before so I could have dodged a bullet quicker. Definitely done recommend to anybody.

"Derby Service isn't a patch on Burton or Sheffield"

We recently purchased a vauxhall corsa for my parents in a private sale which had been under service plan with Pentagon from new. We had full service receipts but missing its service book. These services had taken place at both Derby and Sheffield locations. Naturally we wanted to get a replacement book stamped up, and your Sheffield Vauxhall Branch could not be more obliging. Brilliant service advisor and service start to finish and I'll give them 5 stars all day, however in contrast your Derby branch have been unresponsive on multiple requests which is both dissapointing yet unsurprising and echos the reason I stopped using your Derby Outlet in 2019 for servicing on my two vauxhall vehicles..

As a result this will be another vauxhall we will travel out of our way to get serviced as an alternate vauxhall franchise.

It's clear that your outlets operate under different management styles rather than have a corporate standard that they adhere to.

took my car for service, mot, brake fluid change and aircon purge at Pentagon Vauxhall Mansfield.
The email response clearly states all this work wil be carried out.
The aircon purge was clearly stated on the online checkin as additional work but not carried out and they say it was not booked for this.
The health check states "Signs of coolant leaking suspect radiator and coolant pipe will req new and coolant" I know there wasnt a leak as i checked before taking in.
They claim this is from the previous health check so why is it on the present health check. There was a leak from the engine coolant header tank 12 months prior as they are common to become porous so i replaced this myself after previous service so completely mis-diagnosed as the radiator is nowhere near the coolant header tank.
The mechanic has put yellow substance over the markings of my 2 week old tyres because his eyesight is so bad he cannot see the markings. I have tried multiple types of cleaner to remove to no avail. They wanted to take my car back to rectify this and refused to send someone to removed the yellow paint like substance.
Having lost all faith and trust i have refused to let the vehicle out my sight because who knows what they will do to the vehicle when they take it away.
I will now have to take my vehicle to another garage to check if they actually changed oil, filters and brake fluid.
I will not be going back and would advise others of my bad experience.

"Bad service"

Bought my car in July took out the the second day key warning light came on and the gear stick was sloppy, changed the batteries, it was still showing, took it back and they synced it, still coming on, took it back again, in all day and was told that the gear stick wasn’t under warranty but as a good will gesture they would do it, am I supposed to be grateful for this ? Then had to wait over a month for gear part in the meantime the key situation is still happening, the car has been in 5 times all day and it still hasn’t been done, last week in again for both sorting waited all day to be then told they hadn’t done it and it would be done in January.2024. I told them I was annoyed and had been patient up to now and they said they would contact me yesterday to see if they could get it in earlier, surprise no contact! Tried leaving a message today no contact, Barnsley Pentagon I am still waiting.
Update after this I went to pentagon and spoke to someone who I hadn't spoken to before, I was quite angry and upset and he did his best and managed to get my gear stick sorted, they haven't changed my keys but calibrated them, if it doesn't work I will be going down again, few days after now. So far so good. Delete that last bit, the next day my key light came back on and they are saying they don't know if it's under warranty for that. And they won't give me new keys because it's unusual for both to go. So here I am again.
