"Slight Hiccups"

Trip was amazing being in Costa Rica. The flight to CR was not the greatest. I have the same name as my son with him being the 2nd, therefore my boarding ticket was not able to be retrieved as normal. He was able to get his but I was not able to get to Costa Rica until 36 hours later. One of the hotels was not the greatest stay, a little outdated. We know that the insects will be different being in another country but we did not think the little visitors would be in our rooms. Our 1st guide (Leonardo) was so amazing and really made the experience even better than just what Costa Rica has to offer. The 2nd guide was not as good. It was not that he was bad but there was huge difference in who we 1st had that it stood out. It took away from the back 1/3 of the trip because we were having an amazing time the 1st 3/4.

Overall the trip was amazing and has me wanting to visit Costa Rica again and potentially live there some day.

"Online Tour Diary Photos"

Overall my son had a good time and I am very happy that he went. My only concern is with the online tour diary. It seems that the same couple of young ladies appear in almost all of the pics. Either the pictures were of architecture, which is great, or they were of the tour leader by himself, or the young ladies. My son was blurry in a background of one photo and I believe his arm was in another. That is it. I paid an extraordinary amount of money for him to go and I eagerly awaited the uploading of new photos everyday and everyday I was disappointed to not see him again. In the future consider only inviting parents to participate in the online tour diary if you plan on including photos of their child. Thanks for your time and consideration. "Our trip was affected by the protesters…"

Our trip was affected by the protesters in June, so we didn't get to the equator, see Old Town Quito, and had to leave a day early. Our guide Diego was great at adjusting to the changes, and island guides were also great--very knowledgeable and passionate. Meals at some places were fabulous, others very mediocre--I could have used more salads.

Great trip! Well organized. I like how you allowed students to safely explore the places they visited. We would definitely consider another trip in the future.

"This summer I traveled with 32 students…"

This summer I traveled with 32 students and parents to England. France and Spain. The trip was a success and our guide fantastic. I would have given the trip five stars except the Explorica customer service from my experience has some issues. I have taken numerous trips with students using EF and based on my experience the biggest diffrence between the two is the quality of customer service at the corporate level.

"Tour guides were 🤩 AMAZING"

I don’t even know where to begin to say how grateful we are for this experience. there is NO way we could have had access to so many beautiful Galapagos experiences without Explorica, and our trip would have ended before it began without our tour guide, Diego. He is not only the coolest person on the planet but also the bravest. As we were in the air flying from the states, the airlines suddenly started issuing warnings about Quito because of civil unrest. Diego, Jaime, and our Galapagos guides Asu, Maria, and Martin were the best leaders we could have asked for on any day, but especially in these days!

Visiting Galapagos is like visiting another planet - so beautiful, and the people are wonderful. This was truly the trip of a lifetime. Thank you, Explorica and thank you Diego!!!

"I went on the Ireland Wales London trip…d"

I went on the Ireland Wales London trip in June of 2022. One of my favorite trips-destination wise. However, Exlporica needs to up their game for restaurants and hotel accommodations. We were ‘cancelled’ from several hotels because,we were told, of Ukraine crisis. I can understand, to some extent, but the crisis has been on-going this year. We were moved to hotels an hour+ out of Dublin and lost a great deal of touring time and sleep. Furthermore, I believe you should offer me a substantial credit to book with you again.

"3-4 tourist groups combined altogether for 1 tour guide"

On the very second day, the tour bus did not arrive. This is not okay because the trip included the tour bus so it’s not fair that we payed for it and it didn’t show up.
Also, it was a terrible idea to combine 3 different groups of tourists altogether, this made everything difficult because it was hard to get everyone’s attention and sometimes we would get behind on schedule because of the huge amount of people. When I signed up for this trip I was expecting my group to have its own tour guide, please be specific with this kind of details. This was the thing I disliked the most about the trip.

I had so much fun on this trip. I got to see & experience everything I wanted to and more. I really enjoyed meeting new people too.
