"It was a whirlwind of a trip!"
It was a whirlwind of a trip!
It was a lot to pack in such a short period of time but I am grateful for it. Having 15 high school kids with us, I would recommend that the directors always allow plenty of free time for these young people. Also, connecting with the local tour guides and making sure they accommodate their tours for their audience. Some were great in being mindful of the attention span of these kids.
I also recommend that hotels with a/c are booked. Although every day is full of education and fun, it is exhausting. Yes, Americans are used to a/c and sleep is key in getting through each day. We had two hotels that did not have a/c and it made if very difficult to sleep.
For the trips that include HS kids, I recommend a 10-day trip versus a 12 day. Our kids were D-O-N-E after day 10. Luckily our director saved a theme park for the last day so it gave the kids a boost but if that haden't been the case, there may have been some meltdowns. Even as an adult, I was ready for my own bed.
This is my second trip in three years and I would definitely do it again.

"Disappointed. Would not recommend."
My child was stuck in an airport for 2 days, and when I called Explorica to get an update nobody could provide any information. I was told someone would call me back (never received a call back) I paid for a hotel and food for the day with our package and only received a $25 dollar refund check in return. This was a very expensive trip so I feel $25 dollars was not justice especially when the trip was well over $4000. I will definitely let other parents and the school know of my particular experience and let them be the judge if they send their child in the uninformed hands of Explorica.

"Europe July 2022"
The trip as a whole was amazing! Could not have asked for a better tour guide! Heather B was amazing! She knew her stuff and when it came to any problems, she was overly eager to help! I like that with the optional stay behind my family did that explorica did not cover those things such as booking hotels or transportation, because it allowed me to actually look into where we wanted to stay in the Normandy area in France and actually pushed me to challenge myself from what I’m use to for traveling in the US and actually helped me feel confident for booking future travels to Europe on my own. While I wish I could have spent more time in Dublin or even London, it gave me a taste for those cities, and will definitely be back to visit them.

"This trip was simply amazing"
This trip was simply amazing! I have traveled with both Explorica and EF Tours on several occasions and my love of vacations grows every time. The ease of travel and the ability of our guide, Alba, to adapt to any problems that treat new and experienced travelers is unbelievable. She was highly recommended to us years ago and will simply never ask for anyone else. We loved the trip and many of us are prepared to go with Explorica again next year. Keep it up because I can't resist looking at your website! I'm already packed! :)

"Will Never Use this Tour Company Again"
I was very disappointed with this tour company that my daughter and I used for our trip to France and Spain. I have used others in the past like Globus which were fabulous.
I spent $4900 for me and my 16 year daughter spent around $3800. We spent A LOT of money for this trip. I could have used the same money and have better hotels, better food and better tour guides. Our tour guide was a nice enough person but was either not knowledgeable or just didn’t feel like explaining the areas we went to. For example we went to the French colosseum and just did a photo op. Kids love to learn about gladiators etc and nothing was explained.
There was also a moment where one of our bus drivers didn’t speak any of the languages of someone on the bus -I believe he was Romanian -and was taking us to the airport instead of the train station. We had to run to the train -zero idea how we all made it to our destination.
A few of the destinations that we thought we were going to get to see after we paid was not included. For example, we got to see the outside of the Sagrada Familia but not the inside. I wouldn’t have paid for the trip not knowing we would see stuff by walking or by bus but not the inside. We didn’t even go in the Eiffel Tower!! What??
Our hotels were a disgrace. Gross! One hotel was dubbed by one person in our group as the European Schitt’s Creek. Put it this way -old and run down.
I would NEVER use this tour company again.

"The best trip ever"
The best trip ever, if I have a chance I’ll do it again. I’ve learned a lot from this trip things I never knew and seen and I seen it all. All the staffs are very knowledgeable and friendly and reliable. “Mrs. Dagman you are the best “ and your teams.. thanks 🙏

"Best of the British Isles…"
I took the Best of the British Isles trip July 5-19, 2022. I booked this trip because London was on my bucket list. I'm quit disappointed about the little time I got to see London. There were several things I didn't get to see or experience due to the schedule (Not enough days and no down time).
On the other hand, I totally fell in love with Ireland, which was not on my bucket list. The people were very friendly and the food was great! The history in this country was very eye opening. However, the bus time was way too long and too hot. The air conditioner on the buses were not working, and I felt inconvenienced with no ability to charge my device or have wi-fi. While my post seem negative, I did overall enjoy the trip.

"Ecuador is amazing!"
This trip to Ecuador and the Galapagos was great. It had a wonderful blend of activities and places. Our tour director was very experienced and knowledgeable. Travelling anywhere nowadays can be stressful, but Explorica did a pretty good job of handling COVID related stuff and last minute political/social unrest in the country with limited impact on our itinerary and experience. I'd definitely consider bringing another group on this same trip itinerary in the future.

"Worst trip ever"
I had planned this trip to share with my sister and her 3 kids, (my nephew and 2 nieces) for 4 years. The trip was originally planed for the summer of 2020, the year my nephew graduated from high school, Corvid hit and the trip was postponed. Finally this summer we could go, 2 years later. We looked forward to a great trip. When we got to London we were informed that due to the Corvid restrictions the second group that was to meet us was not joining us. That meant we would only have a bus half a day and would have to walk and use public transportation get where the bus would have taken us. The first day we walked 10 miles and had to stay up 30 hours. I blistered my feet very badly that first day, because I did not expect to walk that far and climb so many stairs. Public transportation has tons of stairs. I am 65 years old had been diagnosed diabetic during the 2 years of Corvid. Every day on the trip we had to walk 7 to 10 miles because we only had a bus half a day, it was mainly used to take us to travel to the next county. My feet were blisters on blisters on blisters, I was in so much pain I called it my death walk. By the time we left Europe I had to use a porter and wheelchair in the airports, I could not walk. When I got home my foot doctor and Primary Care doctor said they could not believe I could walk at all. I had to keep my feet up, warped up and soak them in vinegar for 3 weeks after I got home. I do not want to go on another of your trips
