Absolutely one of the best trips I’ve been on! Our tour guide Luca did an amazing job! I did feel that a few of the hotels chosen for us to stay at on the tour seemed a little run down, but overall it was a wonderful experience!

"Setting not for me"

I am glad to have got the opportunity to travel and visit Europe. However, after being part of this experience I had too immediately cancel my future trips as the setting is not the best fit for me.

Misbehaving kids/young adults, profound language on almost a daily basis with no correction or curtesy for other member by group/tour lead just did not set the tone for me. Not having any means to communicate through an international plan I had to travel close with the group even though it was hard and embarrassing for me.
Furthermore, it's amazing how Explorica feels it is okay to penalize and hold on to cancelation fee for trips that are 2 years out especially after a terrible first experience. It seems easier to hold on to payments that have already been made rather than to correct disrespectful behavior.

I am glad to be home and I will not be traveling with agents and leads that cannot control groups.

"Costa Rica was amazing"

Costa Rica was amazing! The scenery was lush and beautiful and our tour director, Diana, and bus driver, Marcos, went above and beyond to make sure everything about our trip was incredible. We were able to do so many fun things...I cannot wait to go back!! Pura vida!!

Terrific local tour guide - the best. Safe and easy travels, timely and very interesting. Felt very safe in Egypt due to security of every bus...speaking of good bus, ours had excellent AC, not too cold for such hot climate, very refreshing. Our Explorica tour escort is always the best, we'll follow him everywhere.

"Good trip overall"

Great experiences and itinerary. Hotels could have been cleaner and better organized (for example after a long first day some travelers were issued keys to rooms that were already occupied by people not in our group and had to return to the lobby for new rooms). Our guide was very knowledgeable, but sometimes didn't communicate as clearly with students as he could have. Despite the issues, overall it was a good trip.

Accomodations were great! Leo, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable, friendly, and humorous. The activities were safe and fun. We got to see many different areas of Costa Rica on our tour.

What can I say, I went on this trip with my Grandson, Jayden. I told him if he really wanted to go, I would with him. There is so much to this story. First I got to spent time with my Grandson. Second, the history of my family starts in Pennsylvania. Third, Jayden’s Great Grand Father, Max Whitaker, was very supportive of us going. He has our ancestors traced back 13 generations. I am glad I got to go, because the day after we flew home my Dad passed away. But I told him we were back and he smiled!
This will be the only time I will see those things, it was truly amazing, somber and very heart felt!!
To be able to see and walk where our ancestors fought for freedom is just truly amazing💕

"Our flight was canceled by the…"

Our flight was canceled by the airlines. After waiting at the airport for 4 hrs we were scheduled for the following day and wouldn't arrive for 3 more days cutting our trip in half. If that wasn't enough we would have had no return flight because it had also been canceled and our rep wasn't worried about fixing it. Still waiting on the refund too. One in my party wasn't given the opportunity to purchase insurance, so she was just out the thousands of dollars spent. Then I receive this survey asking me to remember the great memories this company was able to provide
