"Not worth the money"

Not worth the money. For the amount charged the tour guide should be very knowledgeable. Also, the way they make you stay in cheap hotels WAY outside of town (like 30 minutes drives each time) is not good at all if you want to explore and when in a foreign country I would like to eat food authentic, not hamburgers and chicken strips. We wasted our money and could have planned this so much better through a travel guide. Very disappointed.

"The trip of a lifetime"

The trip of a lifetime! I've been on Explorica trips before and they've always been wonderful, but this one went so smoothly you wouldn't even know COVID was impacting the world. We saw everything we wanted to see and more! I honestly cannot recommend them enough. They were so flexible and knowledgeable about every place we went. And if someone wanted to do a side trip not on the tour, they were able to help them do that. If they can facilitate a wonderful trip during a global pandemic, I can't imagine traveling without them.

Explorica, I enjoyed this trip sooo much. Lisa was our guide and she was AMAZING!! She was on top of every detail. I loved having everything set up and ready to go. Having Lisa give us tips abt each visit made me more comfortable w/my surroundings.

"Epic time in Costa Rica"

Our guide, Raquel, was awesome and our bus driver was amazing! The tours and events were very well coordinated. They scheduled the time on the bus strategically so you never felt like you were in there too long. Each evening Raquel would tell us what we were going to be doing the next day so you knew what to pack in your back pack, limited the guess work. The hotels were nice and the restaurants were great. Literally an adventure of a life time.

Only complaint was the trip home. We had to go to Dallas, got in around 8:30 pm. Because of the shuttle, we didn't get our whole group to the hotel until after midnight. We didn't get dinner. Then we had to be back on the shuttle around 4 am to get back to the airport. Rough night.

The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I had to cancel one portion of the trip (my son couldn't go) and Explorica was TERRIBLE about processing that and getting my money back. It took a very long time (several months) and way too many calls. I never did get all the money I was due. There was a gal on my trip that her husband had passed away unexpectedly and Explorica completely messed up processing that for her. She was still going through it when we were on our trip. So, they are great for the actual trip...not great if you need to cancel or change your trip.

"We arrived late"

We arrived late. We didn’t get the pizza dinner as promised. I paid extra to room with another person exclusively. We were placed in different rooms on the transport across to Greece. I did not know those people, in fact they were from another group that joined us for part of the trip. Once onboard the toilet in the cabin did not work. Twice someone came to fix it. I used public restroom for the remainder of out stay onboard.

I enjoyed the trip. Everything did move very fast. I wish the tour guide would have slowed down walking.

This trip was absolutely life-changing and the organization of the itinerary was carried out so well and everything we did was a blast! Highly recommend this website and trip!!

"Costa Rica"

The travel guide and driver were THE BEST! Our group with Middle Schoolers was fabulous and we loved every minute of it. We would have liked to have had better accommodations, and variety of food. Everything else was amazing.
