"Positive experience"
Fairly easy online portal (from the parent perspective). And very positive experience from the student/participant side. Overall, very satisfied and excellent trip.

"We all had such a great time!"
We all had such a great time!! It was amazing and very informational. The tour guides and bus driver did a fantastic job. I can't say enough about this trip, even the teenagers were on time every day!

"My daughters Nightmare"
My daughter went on this trip with Mrs NewBerry and Mr Teresa . Ell had the absolute worst time and I wasted almost $4,000 on this trip! I will not EVER book again. Ella ate most of her meals at McDonalds or buying snacks. She complained they did not have enough time to eat dinner. I lived in spain for 3years with my husband and oldest child and my daughter did NOT get to experience Spanish cuisine or customs due to the poor planning of the tour. Mrs Newberry was nasty and unprepared. My daughter was bullied by several of the other girls on the trip and Mrs Newberry did NOTHING to stop it. My daughter made a poor choice to go into a boys room one evening and Mrs Newberry used her son to spy and take pictures of my daughter through a window. after being caught in the boys room , Mrs Newberry straight up harassed , intimidated and bullied my daughter and the boy.
Mrs Newberry and the other chaperone MR Teresa were providing alcohol and drinking with underage students.
I had to spend 5 days having my daughter calling me upset, crying and emotionally distressed begging me to fly her home. What should have been an educational and culturally enriching experience turned into a traumatic experience.
I am appalled that this woman is allowed to take any children on any trip much less a trip to a foreign county. I have 9 children and I WILL NEVER BOOK a trip with explorica again if this is the type of chaperone you send on your trips!!
I have taken legal action against the 2 chaperones and 2 of the students on the trip for the continued behavior after returning back to the united states. I have unformed my attorney that this all started with a trip booked through explorica and the are gathering all the information about what happened while abroad also.

"My daughter loved the trip"
My daughter loved the trip. She had been in all three cities visited before (London, Paris and Amsterdam), but she loved visiting new places and revisiting other ones. The trip was well organized and the guides were approachable and experts in the areas. Explorica was also very good in communicating during the pandemic and rearranging plans.

"Impressive organization"
Traveling “after” the pandemic was interesting! Our tour guide navigated every situation for us. The trip was so well planned and we enjoyed it all, even appreciating time to rest on the bus rides. It was nice not having to wait in lines and to have everything taken care of so we had no stress and could just enjoy the sites, food, and weather! I’d travel with Explorica again for sure!!!

"Great tour guide, terrible company"
Our tour guide in Europe was amazing, and our trip was brilliant because of the work of that guide. Even when Explorica set him up with a dearth of activities for two whole days, he took it upon himself to fill that time meaningfully for our kids, all of his own accord. The communication around travel restrictions and processes we needed to adhere to was absolutely lacking from Explorica. Our Explorica agent, Nabil, was absent and uncommunicative, and remains to be so. Moreover, we have tried to use our travel points that were awarded us through using Explorica for over 3 years now. Again, communication is absent and we have yet to be able to use them. Nabil has said the pandemic is to blame, but we tried to use them even before that, to no avail. Honestly, these perks are given out by every travel company, and remain a top reason for why we use one over the other. Being ignored in these ways have lead us to steer colleagues away from Explorica. We have two trips planned for next year, and we have gone with another company.

"The trip"
The trip, our guide, and Italy were wonderful!! However, a couple of places where you guys could improve would be dinner variety. We ate the same meal twice back to back, the pizza, then the same meal back to back. Also the hotel accommodations could have been one step better, with the exception of our last hotel. It was the nicest.

"Our Tour Guide was great and the trip…"
Our Tour Guide was great and the trip was fun. However, I would change a few things. I would recommend asking about individuals who may have difficulty climbing stairs or walking long distances as part of the pre-tour work. We had some in our group who struggled with this aspect. The group meals left something to be desired on our trip, as the restaurants were crowded and the food was not as good as other food on the trip. Lastly, our hotel in Paris was not very nice and had multiple issues with doors, windows, showers, temperature, etc. Plus the rooms were much smaller than the hotel in London, which made it difficult for two adults to share a room.
All of that being said, I would still recommend others to take a tour and experience the beauty of London and Paris.

"hostage for almost 3 years"
hostage for almost 3 years ! They cancelled the trip two times and then due to circumstances ,
(number of COVID restrictions-cases on the rise) our leader had to cancel the third try. Now they want a $399 -499 charge for canceling the trip. They have not done anything in the last three years that would warrant their stealing of people's hard earned money and charging a huge cancellation fee. COVID is an act of God and there is not much we could do but cancel the trip. There are protocols and laws that restrict travel. They are ripping off customers and taking advantage of them for their own greed.
The company said they would refund our money for the trip by May 6, 2022 minus the cancellation fee. There are no signs of my refund as of yet. I am going to contact, any agency involved in the travel business including the Attorney General of Mass., my local media's consumer reporter, Facebook, Twitter etc., to help me get back my refund with the cancellation fee. I am sick of waiting on Explorica to get their act together. I am going to fight for a full refund and if the company takes no action soon, I am going to file a claim with the small claims court that has the jurisdiction in the area in which they operate their business.
