"Pierre Tour Guide"

Enjoyed our Explorica trip! Last travel was 2018. Our guide in 2022,Pierre,was amazing. The itinerary was excellent as well as accommodations. Our guide, the most important element was fantastic. Thank you, Explorica.

"Excellent Trip (Nat’s XV Celebration)"

Great trip! Except for the excessive walking: 24,300 steps in just one day! Average walking was about 14K to 15k steps. Breakfast was also the same thing every single day, with no chance to buy anything else. Other than that; awesome trip. Excellent Tour Director (Claire) - very knowledgeable, caring, friendly, professional, patient and understanding.

"New York"

We had a great trip! Our tour guide was fabulous and the kids saw so much! They fell in love with the city and saw AMAZING shows. We weren't able to get a hold of anyone over the weekend, even when we called the emergency number and that was super frustrating. But overall very good trip.

"TRY ANOTHER COMPANY"

We just returned from a trip with Explorica. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. Luckily we had a bus driver in Ireland that made the trip amazing but before we had him the trip was bland, to say the least. The tour director was not knowledgeable at all! We wasted so much time and did not get to see much in London because of his lack of organization. People just started leaving the group to do what they wanted to do which is what we had paid him to do. He would not talk about any landmarks at all. He would have us drive 30 minutes then when we got there we waited on him to get stuff together and maybe tell us stuff that could of all been said while driving. All organizing should have been done ahead of time! When in London we had a hotel 30 minutes from town which was ridiculous and then we went to a supper of fried chicken and French fries that was another 15 minutes from the downtown area in a direction away from the hotel. It was terrible food too. Just complete lack of organization that cost time we could have enjoyed other things. His name was John Giordano. We also had an excursion cancel we paid $60 a person for and I heard the manager say we would be sent all money back to Explorica. Yet to find out how we get that back. These are just a few on a long list of complaints but you get the idea. Furthermore, the main company number is terrible to find out answers. They have no clue. Terrible customer service. Luckily they had hired a bus driver that saved our trip the last four days. He told us about the history and the interesting facts. Took us to places and set up a carriage ride in the park. He was amazing. Explorica people were not!

"Terrible customer service"

My trip was cancelled by my teacher for lack of participants. I cancelled my payments and was supposed to be issued a refund my March 28th. I cancelled in the beginning of January and the person I talked to then said that I was supposed to be given a refund my today. I called today because there’s nothing pending in my bank account and the new person I talked to said that I won’t get my refund until April 22nd, almost a month away. The first person I talked to in January didn’t process my refund until 3 weeks after I called in January. This place is absolutely ridiculous.

"Excellent service! Timely responses!"

We received excellent personalized service. Our emails were answered very quickly. Parents who traveled with us also remarked that Explorica was quick to respond. One parent, with extraordinary circumstances, praised Explorica's vigilance and help. Our school will definitely continue traveling with Explorica and strongly recommending them to other teachers.

"No Refund although I had trip insurance"

My father died unexpectedly and I called to cancel my trip. I had purchased the trip insurance so I was expecting a refund so after several emails and phone calls they told me I COULD NOT GET A REFUND because I couldn't get them a death certificate as proof. So then I ask for a credit as my trip was paid in full or to reschedule it at a later time and the answer was " Im sorry mamm". I had to cancel within the 30 day window of travel time but.. I HAD TRIP INSURANCE. Now Im out $2000.00. If for any reason you have to cancel, good luck getting your money back.

"Not happy that since our tour had to be…"

Not happy that since our tour had to be cancelled due to vaccination guidelines we are losing out on $399. We did not want to cancel we were forced too. This trip was planned in Deember 2019 when no one knew what was going to happen in 2020 with Covid. We had to reschedule the orignal date of June 2021 due to unsafe travel restrictions and now due to the vaccine guidelines we had to canel completely. We should not be out any money at all.
