"Customer care? I don't think so."

My child's teacher, who organized the Explorica trip, was unceremoniously dismissed from their position and the trip was effectively canceled. I reached out to Explorica to cancel the automatic payments and request a refund. They replied that they would not refund my money, and they would charge me $399 to cancel the trip. The circumstances were beyond my control, the school is taking no ownership for the trip, and my family has suffered this financial loss because Explorica, even with the purchased insurance, will not offer any help.

The Costa Rica trip was a wonderful experience for all of the members of my group. Our guide Marcelino Mata was attentive to all of our needs and turned out to be an amazing naturalist and Bird watcher! Members of my group are still talking about the trip and posting pictures on social media. Everyone on the trip is talking about doing another adventure to Costa Rica in the future to mark the anniversary of our first group trip.
Overall, I would not change anything! We are maintaining a group chat and continuing to stay in contact with our guide on social media. All of my group members will continue to talk about this amazing experience every chance they get and Costa Rica will remain in our hearts and minds for the rest of our lives.

I have traveled with Explorica since 2000 and have never had a negative experience. They offer, by far, the best value in student travel available. The tour guides are knowledgeable and professional. I highly recommend Explorica!

"Terrible company"

Terrible company - we bought travel insurance which is worthless with this company. They are NOT school sponsored and they have nothing to do with the school. They are taking $399 of our money for their bogus cancellation fees. Lesson learned. They’re not accredited with the BBB and they need to be reported to the US Attorney General’s Office. I wonder if they are even a US company now that I see how they scam parents.

Had a fantastic and memorable trip to Italy and Greece. To visit the places you read about is unbelievable. We couldn’t have had a better and more knowledgeable guide than Lucia. Thanks to Explorica and Jacque Stokes-Taylor for a great trip. Looking forward to the next adventure,

The fact that all I had to do was leave the plane, board a bus, and arrive at my destination was phenomenal. Everything is done, and done well, for you- the traveler.
