"Crooks"
Crooks. I can't believe a company is allowed to operate this way and steal kids' money during a pandemic. We paid well ahead of time (almost 1.5 years), they can't provide the service (pandemic) and they refuse to issue anyone a refund.
This isn't a business model this is robbery and the people that work at this company should be ashamed of how they treat people. You take money, you can't provide the service, you return the money. As simple as that. They continue to defer to the cancelation insurance company but they made a ton of money off the pandemic and they know it. They literally paid nothing for 1000s of trips, collected money a year in advance and now refuse to return it. So many people got duped.
Full on crooks. They'll declare bankruptcy and rename themselves I'm sure.

"Horrible experience"
After couple of months of leaving messages and phone calls, I finally got a hold of someone to cancel my daughter's trip. They told me because of the we are 119 days out and the school is still having the trip, even though the teacher leading the trip told my daughter that no one is going, not even him, a couple of days ago that they are going to charge me $750 dollars. I could understand a couple of fees here and there, but this is ridiculous and taking advantage of the situation. This is a very horrible policy that they are enforcing and the customer service was horrible. They don't return calls or emails.

"Horrible service"
I needed to cancel my trip, because we are currently in a Global Pandemic. The $399 fee is ridiculous, since it supposedly takes 10 weeks to issue the refund. What is that fee going towards, if not for me to receive my refund in a timely fashion? It should not take 10 weeks to receive a refund. I have heard that this is a great company if you actually get to go on the trip, but it should not be so difficult to cancel, especially since we are in a pandemic. I am not one to complain ever, but this really is ridiculous.

I hope schools and other people will think twice before using explorica. I can see we aren’t the only people that have had a problem with this company. They will probably go out of business. We cancelled our daughters trip due to the pandemic. Even with the travel insurance they are charging us $399. What’s the point of buying travel insurance? This is a total scam. DO NOT BOOK WITH EXPLORICA. There are many other companies that do trips like this and they did not rip off their customers. We better get the $3800 back from them. Such a disappointment.

"Awful, fraudulent"
Awful, fraudulent company. I canceled my daughter's school trip 8 months in advance, knowing that her school would cancel due to the pandemic. I had already made payments of over $1600. The Explorica rep told me that they'd charge me a $561 cancellation fee, which TripMate (the cancel-for-any-reason insurance policy I purchased through Explorica) should cover 75% of. Rep told me that Explorica would refund me a bit over $1000. Well- Explorica sent me a check for $225 (only a quarter of what they owe me) and TripMate denied the claim, stating that they don't cover cancellation fees. I'm out $1400. Total scam artists!

"Refuse to refund money for cancelled trip due to Covid-19"
School board cancelled international trip to Mexico scheduled for June 2021. Explorica is withholding $1,000 in cancellation fees. I even paid for the travel insurance and Covid-19 is not a valid reason to cancel. We could not have predicted we would be in a pandemic when we scheduled this trip in April 2019. The world hasn't experienced anything like this in recent times. Something that is totally unpredictable and completely out of my control and Explorica still refused to refund me. I will NEVER use or recommend them to anyone.

"I have has terrible customer service"
I have has terrible customer service. My son and I are enrolled in a trip starting this summer. I have had to call them about 5 times with basic questions and have gotten zero response. We have paid close to 16K for this trip and can’t get them to answer ( email or phone), with just basic information. Do Not waste your money.

our trip has been cancel on 10/26/20 due to COVID and still not refund. I been calling and emailing and they are no answering. I am owed $8000.00

"Springville New York Students travel to London, Paris, and Barcelona"
During February of 2020 we traveled as a small group of students, staff, and parents to London, Paris, and Barcelona. The trip was extremely well planned allowing us to see all the highlights of these awesome cities. Our guide Adam was amazing and all the guided tours that we went on in each city were also phenomenal. All of the food experiences were terrific. Everything was very well coordinated including all the travel to and from Europe as well as within Europe. I had an awesome time as a staff member and I can attest that all of our student travelers also really enjoyed the trip.

"We had an amazing time"
We had an amazing time. Luca was an enthusiastic and thorough tour guide. We were able to see so many things we would have been able to see otherwise. We would totally go on another explorica trip. One significant concern was our flights on the way home. That’s connecting flight in Germany was less than an hour and it was almost physically impossible to get from the one plane to the other and get through security and that time and we almost missed the flight. We had a large group with large large age range. And we literally had to sprint through the airport.
