"An outstanding Experience"
Very good discussion with staff as to the likely issues with the 14 year old unit and repair/replace options.
I chose to replace the old unit and had an outstanding experience with the service technician who replaced the unit and spent time pointing out operational highlights and the importance of periodic air filter cleaning.
Strongly recommend dealing with the factory people as opposed to trying to work with the local representative who basically was not interested in doing the servicing/replacement work.

"I was disappointed in the performance…"
I was disappointed in the performance of my split cooled unit. It only lasted about 3 years before it died and I had to buy a new one. Unfortunately Whisperkool is the only game in town so I had to buy a new unit from them. They also said I needed to buy the next larger unit given the size and number of windows in my cellar. So the cost of my new unit was double the price of my existing unit. They don’t install (nor repair) but did recommend three local HVAC. Unfortunately two never returned my voicemails and the third wouldn’t install it unless they bought the cooling unit and marked it up. I had to find my own installer. The only positive was my experience with their customer service person Rocky who was very nice, apologetic and responsive. Overall a bad experience.

"My old wine cooler running like new!!"
Finally got around to replacing the WhisperKool unit in my big (maybe 20 year old) Vinotheque cherry wine cabinet. The tech person on the phone (sorry I did not get her name) for my first call (about a year ago) helped me determine what I needed and that it was a fairly simple switch out; wouldn't need an expert on hand. Recent second call, another helpful person, resulted in an easy order and my new unit was built and shipped out on a very timely basis. Getting the old unit out was touchy (heavy, very sharp edges, and needed a big nudge to remove) but the new unit slid right in. Having someone young, strong and tall on hand was "the ticket". Three days later and am very happy.
(Note: had cooling unit repaired in an 8 yr old unit, similar size, that, instead of just not cooling, heated to 90 plus degrees and cooked my wine; now it works, but noisy. Different brand that I will not name, but they refused responsibility. You want to trust your wines to WhisperKool!)

Ok I will. I bought a Whisperkool ceiling mounted unit. I bought it in July 2014.
This was a newly constructed wine room along with a remodel. Added 1400’.
Couldn’t complete and put the wine in the wine room until April of 2016 when add-on was completed.
Did not get an installation kit for the unit. Caused a big problem.
Then 2 1//2 years later the compressor went out. Only 2 yr. warranty according to Whisperkool.
The paperwork says 5 years. Something is terribly wrong.
Whisperkool changed the compressor units to a different supplier because I was told many of the compressors were going bad.
Very disappointing. Never would use Whisperkool in another wine room.
Hopefully restaurants will see this report.
Also, you have no one in the Orange County area or even LA county to service these Whisperkool units. Very frustrating.
I got names and references and none of them would/could service or even replace the compressor/condenser.

Great service! During the process of purchasing our 2nd unit, I spoke with several staff members who were both very friendly and helpful. The ordering process went smoothly and unit arrived in a timely manner. Highly recommend!

I purchased the nfinity 4200 through wine enthusiast, the unit failed and was just out of warranty and I thought I was going to be very upset. whisperkool rep said "we are not that kind of company" and sent me a replacement unit.
truly exceed my expectations, this is my third unit I have purchased from them and they have performed better than you would expect a value priced product to and I will continue to be a fan
