Tried to ring for a quote, after 25 minutes listening to that droning automatic voice, thats speaks volumes as a company so taking my business elsewhere.

"my 3rd and Final Review of Sky…"

my 3rd and Final Review of Sky Insurance.

in less than a year I've now gone from 4 Policy's in our household to ZERO by the end of my current policy which is due in a couple of weeks, I have now gone with a competitor / different Broker for one vehicle and whom I will also be using come 2 weeks time with the same underwriters under the same scheme's for the other. Both vehicles in question are what Sky claim to be specialists in insuring.
I am now in my 40's, I believe I took out my first Policy with Sky Insurance in 2006 on an XR3i after previously having Policys with similar brokers who are equally if not more so well known, and they were always my first choice since then with several policy's for numerous cars over the years - alas that will be no more, there is only so much BS you can use the "we are only a Broker" card for !
your "Motto" of Best Price, Best Policy, Best Service is no longer true I'm afraid when clearly your competitors can offer a Better Policy at a Better Price with a Better Service and without the excuses or hiding behind the "just a Broker" card.

I'll say it again, different broker, same underwriter, same policy under the same scheme. Price is the same as I paid last year with Sky

Whether anyone at Sky actually cares, today one of your LOYAL long term customers has gone from being one of your biggest advocates with a featured car on your website to now having the mindset of "yeah I'd try someone else first" and will happily encourage others to do the same, that sadly speaks volumes don't you think......

to add insult to injury, I am not expecting this to end smoothly either after my conversation with Caleb today, the policy/vehicle that I am referring to was originally insured from August 2016 and renewed each year since, this vehicles renewal is due in August 2020, by my maths, that is 4 years No Claims on this policy on its own (baring in mind seperate policys on seperate vehicles with their own NCD's) but yet I was today told its only 3..... even I dont need a calculator but lets see what happens in a few weeks time and see if Caleb has sent the email to whom he said he needed to send an email to in order to wrap this up :)

"Be prepared to be hung up on.."

I was kept waiting on their automated call holding software for 25 minutes until my call was picked up and then disengaged as the agent no doubt wanted to get home for their tea as we reached 5.00pm. Unfortunately they are only open during business hours (no good for out of hours claims). Make sure you have tome to wait for an agent to pick up your call and you have plenty of spare time during the day. Good luck!

Luke Tillbrook , this is the best person to sort out your insurance. He is an expert in his area and will never let you down. For the last 2 years he sorted my car insurance and offered best deal on the market. Highly recommend Luke!

"Cheap car insurance. Bad customer service experience."

Obviously there are plenty of glowing reviews on here, but I can only comment on my experience, and the fact that I feel compelled to go on here and write a review speaks volumes of my customer experience with Sky Insurance.

Firstly, credit where credit is due. I got a really competitive price for the temporary car insurance I needed (hence the two stars and not one). All good on that front.

Unfortunately, when I actually needed to communicate with them to ask a simple question, the response was pretty rude and unhelpful. When I asked for my query to be escalated, I was told “there’s no one to escalate to as I’m the Manager of the department”. And “this isn’t normally an issue for other customers”. By the way, I was simply asking for a receipt for my payment as this cost needs to come from my Mother’s estate (she passed away recently).

Not impressed, however, I’m sure it was bad luck and I just drew the short straw. Perhaps the “Manager” I dealt with was not a good barometer for their culture or behaviours as a business. Having said that, I wouldn’t use them again on principle. In future, I would rather pay a couple of pounds a month more and use someone else.

"MR2 - Luke"

Spoke to Luke on the phone to insure my 1996 MR2 Turbo. Being 23 years old it is difficult to insure this but all my mods declared and I was quoted a good price. Sky Insurance, Luke is a credit to you, proper nice to talk to and knows his stuff about cars. Hopefully taking out this policy soon :)

"Great customer service and price"

Luke who sold me my policy was fantastic, last year I called round 2-3 other "modified cars specialists" and frankly spoke to people who clearly didn't like modified cars and it came across followed by a daft quote.

Luke was friendly with a brilliant telephone mannerand understood my engine conversion and supporting modifications and got me a great price.

"Please please people do not insure your…"

Please please people do not insure your son or daughter with these people , the black box gives a % rate every day and it kept going down , they rang and said my sons driving was bad , even though for 2 weeks his car was in the garage and it still kept going down . It went down to poor in 6 months and yesterday they cancelled it after 6 months and £2,227 , they are a rip off and now my son can’t drive , he is so upset , disgusting company

"Luke Tillbrook an asset to Sky Insurance"

Spoke to Luke Tillbrook a few times regarding my car insurance and finally bit the bullet and went ahead with it. Luke has always provided a top service, been very professional and answered any queries I’ve had. A real asset to the company. I wish all customer service was as good as this! 10/10 and will definitely recommend to friends and family. 👌🏻
