"I purchased Ronseal Shed & Fence Preserver in Light Brown and it didn’t do what it said on the tin!"
I purchased Ronseal Shed & Fence Preserver on three separate occasions from B&Q, Longwell Green. The first time I was really impressed by the results. Unfortunately on the second and third occasion the Light Brown colour came up green on my fencing. The first time it happened B&Q compensated me to the tune of £100 to cover both the cost of the damage and the waste of labour time! Sherwin-Williams who manufacture Ronseal gave me a few complimentary tins too. The second time it occurred B&Q refused to accept the photographic evidence I submitted showing a green colour when it should have been light brown and again Sherwin-Williams sent me a few complimentary tins. They couldn’t understand why this occurred. I haven’t used the last two tins sent by Sherwin-Williams because I have no faith in their product ‘to do what it says on the tin’! B&Q wouldn’t publish my review despite clear photographic evidence supporting my complaint.

"Excellent stuff"
Excellent stuff , used ronseal one coat Dark Oak , only colour i would use on fences ,posts and gates, the colour is really rich , it does do it in one coat , just apply it thick , brush out any runs , the colour improves 10 fold when dry, dont get what everybody is fussing over , dark oak only colour worth using

"Ronseal Timber care - what a washout!"
Ronseal Timber care - what a washout!
Last summer (2019), in perfect conditions, I coated my workshop and summerhouse with Ronseal Timbercare.
The wood was dry and in sound condition.
Initially, it all looked fine but now, the majority of it seems to have washed off leaving me with bare wood, back to square one.
I contacted Ronseal Customer Care in January - Customer care?? It does't seem to exist! All I had was a reference number.
Two further attempts to contact Ronseal were completely ignored.
Think carefully about buying this product - I wont be using it again!

"Ronseal Garden paint is excellent"
Ronseal Garden paint is excellent. Bought a couple of cans of the green to paint a new summerhouse and was very impressed with the colour and the coverage. In fact, I took the second tin back as I didn't need it. Thoroughly recommended.

"Not fit for purpose"
I thought this expensive yacht varnish would be perfect for my new oak cladding to the front of my house . Sadly this is the worst varnish product I have ever used. It has left a terrible mess in just over a year and now needs completely redoing. I would not recommend using this varnish to anyone and will never use Ronseal products again. What a ripp off..

"WrongSeal"
WrongSeal:
Used some Forest Green fence paint 12L painted and also used their Sprayer but despite my best effort this watery PROTECTOR was far from remotely looking like picture on container. Now less than 5 months on my fence looks decidedly shabby.

"Ronseal one coat white gloss paint is…"
Ronseal one coat white gloss paint is rubbish, applied 2 coats already and still needs another even though I am painting over white.
it's like water you apply it thickly to try and do one coat but it ends up running.
Worst paint I have ever used in my life.

"Extremely disappointed with Ronseal…"
Extremely disappointed with Ronseal decking paint-I hired a handy man to paint my deck and he took time to do a good job and cover the whole area, at first sight it looked fantastic. HOWEVER a few months later the paint has fainted and peeled off and sticks to footwear and comes into the house. This product does not do what it says on the tin. For an expensive product it is awful and I do not reccomend it. As after such a short time the job will need to be re-done and I will definitely be sourcing a different brand.

"Brought decking stain in April 2019 by…"
Brought decking stain in April 2019 by October 2019, there’s all green algae over it, rain sits on top of it and runs into the back door and half warn off. I would never buy this again cost a lot of money for how much I needed and yet I’ve had cheaper decking stains that have lasted a lot longer! It certainly doesn’t do what it says on the tin! Very disappointed 😡

"Bought Ronseal Ducksback , never again"
Bought Ronseal Ducksback last summer. Stained garden fences and garden pergola. Looked nice...but now most of the stain has come off leaving an ugly sight. Extremely disappointing. Thought it was a good product. How wrong I was. Won't be buying this again.
