"Ronseal 10year weatherproof wood paint…"

Ronseal 10year weatherproof wood paint . Worse than useless. After 18months it has cracked and flaked. Now a big job to remove it all and start again. DOES NOT DO WHAT IT SAYS ON THE TIN. As for the guarantee , no chance of reclaiming money as I did not retain the receipt.

I am sick and tired of manufacturers'/sellers' lies to the consumers. Ronseal Tile paint... ONE COAT.. ridiculous. I kind of suspected that it would require another coat just to make the white colour really white. But having to do 3 coats is kind of frustrating. Especially when the original is only slightly creamy colour. Shame on you, Ronseal!!

"Used the ronseal colours on new garden…"

Used the ronseal colours on new garden shed. Waste of time! Like painting on water. More dripped on flags than the shed and looked wishy washy. Then we tried CUPRINOL what a big difference it made, a more thicker consistency and the colour came out and it looked so much better. Certainly can't recommend ronseal.

"Terrible product"

Extremely watery and messy,poor coverage and totally false economy...my new fence needed 3 coats and still needed odd areas touched up. In short the job took at least twice as long as it should of and my colour 'SAGE' was more of a blue than the sage green it should have been.NOT HAPPY.

I brought midnight blue fence care plus . No were near dark blue 2 coats later more teal than navy ,going to get iris from cuprinol as colour it states . What a waste of time and money .

"Easy to use and good finish"

I've recently painted a section of close boarded fencing with Ronseal Fence Life using an electric sprayer. It was very quick to apply and I used a brush just to tidy up a couple of spots.
I expected to use more with a sprayer than a brush but I used far more than anticipated. I may be wrong but I think the Ronseal calculator is very optimistic on its usage figures.
I came across these reviews by chance and I was very concerned by the reports that the paint washes off in rain, as bad weather was forecast for the following day, but I needn't have worried because after a 2 hour downpour there was no problem at all and the fence looks good.

"RUBBISH- AVOID"

I have no qualms in stating that this is unequivocally the worst wood treatment I have ever purchased. I bought this rather than the "cheapo" WILKO etc products,with which I have previously been satisfied, as I wanted "Sage" colour,not available in cheaper ranges. At the same time I bought the equivalent, contrasting, Cuprinol treatment. I suspect most will be doing like me, trying to cover the horrible orange standard colour on sheds/fences, but I also had a smooth untreated gate- this claims to cover anything. ABSOLUTE TOSH! The Cuprinol coloured up well after one coat, completely covered in two. This Ronseal rubbish- like a thin, coloured water- left the orange colour clearly visible after three coats. I have no idea just how many times I will have to apply it, to completely cover- if ever.. It drips everywhere,sprays the moment you try to work the excess off the brush on the lip of the canister. I bitterly regret buying this junk, and the wasted effort in using it. Avoid like the plague would be my advice.....

Using the grey ronseal fence paint and it doesn’t do the job at all it’s awful, comes off within an hour the rain doesn’t help it , BUYER BEWARE, DO NOT GET THIS PAINT always check before buying, the after look its horrible never use grey and never go with the brand !!!!!!

"Don not buy anyhting Ronseal!"

I bought the exterior system and followed the instructions to the letter. Stripped right back sanded and the paint started to peel, chip and crack in 3 months. My previous paint had lasted 20 years but was just showing its age. I contacted Ronseal who asked me to send some of the chips and their lab results stated, "Customer has done the write thing but they need to sand it down a further 3mm! 3mm when you are sanding is a lot! They offered me £50 to spend in vouchers on other Ronseal paint as a "goodwill". I said like Im going to use your paint again. I then had to spend three days in taking off thier rubbish paint and used Brand X and it is performing superbly! Ronseal you can take your paint and stuff it up your.....

"AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL!!"

AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL!!! I wish I read this before I bought the paint. The fence seems to just absorb the paint. It’s been very warm so no chance the fence can be wet! Dreadful. Fuming I didn’t get a receipt
