"Refund"
I had bought many items from the various auction locations and all had been fine until my most recent. I bought a Ninja Creami. The photos showed it boxed in original packaging and it all looked to be in good condition (the packaging). When it arrived it was severely damaged - the packaging was dented and the ninja machine housing was smashed. I asked customer services to make a claim for the item against the courier as the photos shown were not what arrived. There standard response was no items are returned or refunded and its up to me to attend in person. I responded to explain that the photos shown were not what arrived and it had been damaged in transit so me visiting would have made no difference - this was ignored for a few weeks. I then made a credit card claim stating the goods were damaged and I wanted a claim made against the courier. Very quickly I was then asked to return the item so they could issue a refund. I did as asked and was informed that they couldn't issue a refund as the credit card had already made a charge back - fair enough as the refund would come to me anyway. I then found that my account had been blocked! I emailed to ask why as I had done everything asked and was told it was because I made a charge back. Seems like a petty way to respond to this situation. A simple claim against the courier would have ensured everyone wasn't out of pocket.
Be warned anyone using this auction site - they don't like it when you make a charge back!

"Two stars is for the delivery I have…"
Two stars is for the delivery I have stop using John pye so much because of this.I don’t know how many of you know this or looked into this but do you know you are paying 20% VAT on top of your delivery?delivery £9.99 at 20% is 11.99 you are paying £2 extra your delivery is not £9.99 it is 11.99 .That £1.99 for each item vat 40p making delivery £2.39 .If you brought 3 items at £9.99 and the other two at £1.99 your delivery cost altogether with vat £16.76 Not £13.97 which it says paying quite a lot for delivery and you shouldn’t be getting VAT on top of delivery well I don’t think so

"Ropa falsa "
Compré una caja con varias prendas de ropa. Me salió una prenda falsificada, reclame y respondieron que no se hacían cargo.

"Avoid this auction at all costs"
Most items that sold on JP are way overpriced. They bid themselves to raise the price. Plus you'll have to pay additional 45% in fees on top. Same items can be purchased new elsewhere (online shops or high street) for less and you'll get a guarantee. Not like on JP when they claiming:
"unopened" - when its been opened and resealed
"untested" - avoid these, will be 100% faulty or missing parts (they test every single item they get, but want to sell the faulty ones as well. Claiming to be untested, when they clearly know that item is faulty.
Authorities should investigate this scam company!
My personal experience:
Bought 2 coffee tables - 1 was broken (ad did not mentioned that)
Bought 2 Dyson vacuum cleaners - 1 blew up straight away, knocking all fuses in the consumer unit), second had no sight of life at all - ad said in working order.
Bought bunch of boxes of John Lewis Christmas lights - only more than half worked (claimed to be unopened)

"Damaged/Missing Parts - No Refund "
Rating a 1 star as you cannot do zero. I purchased a garden shed that was delivered with damanaged, missing parts with no fixing to put it together so I called to be told no refunds as I had the ability to view the item before delivery.
Firstly it was a sealed box and I live 4.5 hours away from Chesterfeild where the item was. I will never purchase again as I have in the past, simply unacceptable!

"Perfect condition, exactly what was shown in the photos!"
I’ve purchased three different auctioned items, two have arrived. Both were in great condition, I was missing a charger wire for one item but I quickly purchased it off eBay for £3. Despite a missing wire, the photo did not display a wire, so I can’t complain. I still saved over 70% of what I would have paid for these items in the shop. Extremely happy, will continue to be a loyal customer to John Pye’s auctions! Delivery time can vary, second item I ordered arrived about a week before the first item I ordered, so be patient!

1 of the items won on auction was damaged on delivery.
Logan was very helpful and understanding. My emails were going into my Junk (known why as I accepted as a safe email address) which made back and forth contact slower that wanted. Logan was patient and helpful.

"Increasingly Unreliable "
Bought items previously that were fine, although delivery is expensive and takes a very long time.
Recently purchased two items from the Edinburgh site, which were marked as one parcel. One parcel arrived, but only contained one of the items, which didn’t actually work and is now in the bin. I haven’t received an update on the other item despite contacting them.
I have been waiting over a week for an update on the delivery of a separate purchase from the Birmingham site. Seems like a shambles. I think I’ve rode my luck with this company, but will not be a returning customer. Too unreliable and expensive to gamble on the quality of what you actually receive.
Edit: Following standard copy and paste reply from John Pye, I have contacted four times this week for two different invoices. Nothing has been resolved. Customer service ask me to repeatedly respond with contact details and invoice number and nothing moves forward. Absolutely useless.
