Absolutely terrible service from Birmingham. Purchased a microwave which, when we opened the parcel, had a note which read: ‘this item is faulty and constantly trips the electrics’. Contacted John Pye who said that I should have gone and viewed the item. They are taking no responsibility and will not give refund. Absolutely shocking company and should not be allowed to sell online if that is the case.

GREAT COMPANY - EXCLUDING BIRMINGHAM SITE!!
I have been lucky to purchase many lots from John Pye in recent months spending thousands of pounds across multiple sites and receiving goods in a timely manner and accurately described. (Chesterfield is definitely the best!)
However, the Birmingham site is a worry and needs looking into. (All other sites have been great!!). It seems 'missing parcels' and lots never getting sent are a common theme at this site based on other reviews.
I spent over £1000 on various lots a few weeks ago and the goods were supposedly shipped on 09/01 via FedEx. Still no sign of parcel or any tracking update (supposedly still awaiting pickup from JP by FedEx, but JP are disputing this stating the goods have definitely left site)
I have asked for this matter to be looked into multiple times and the customer service on this occasion has been AWFUL. Excuses and refusal to acknowledge my multiple requests for a refund. A real shame the Birmingham site has been a huge let down on this occasion and I will be contacting my bank / taking legal action should a refund not be issued in due course.

Absolute nightmare dealing with this company, Birmingham, kept waiting for over 1 hr with a result that they couldn’t find my item, very surprised as it was a 6ftx6ft shed, at moment just an apology? Refuse compensation for incompetence, still waiting for refund.
They also say delivery only on some items but don’t say it takes 3 weeks ?

I have win bids in the past and everything was brand new exactly like pictures but this time I’ve got some electrical tools that came from Edinburgh site (a first) and they came with parts missing and not working, customer service said there is nothing they can do about it. The description nonexistent and pictures were of the actual boxes, they looked like a return product…they should white a proper description so people know on what they spent their money on

purchased items from these guys a few times some good stuff and some rubbish, but I must say the service has always been good.
I purchased some items from the Birmingham site a few weeks ago and must say the service is shocking.
Never arrived and never bothered to contact me.
I contacted them after a couple of weeks and was told the items were lost and they would refund me.
From the time of purchase to the time I get a refund it will be about 4 weeks (that is if the refund doesn't get lost)
I would purchase from them again but NOT the Birmingham site.

"Mala solución a producto con tara"
Una pena que después de algunas compras funcionando bien tenga que ponerles una nota tan mala.
En la compra de un producto con un precio ya elevado, una lava secadora que en las descripciones y en las fotos se veía en perfecto estado respondan tan mal.
Como digo en las fotos no se apreciaba ningún desperfecto y al ir allí la puerta está marcada ( daño estético, pero no es un problema mayor) al llevarlo a casa e instalarlo descubrimos que nada más abrirlo la goma está con un bocado y que al hacerla funcionar el agua se sale.
La solución que me dan es devolverla, cuando hay que volver a cargarla y realizar el transporte. Entiendo que sean devoluciones, pero si se marca que un producto está en perfecto estado no se debería dar esta solución, si no si no es al 100% hacerse cargo de la reparación. No es un objeto fácil de devolver por el peso y es una pena que pierdan la confianza de los clientes así.

Son lo más parecido a una banda de trileros, un lote de tres electrodomésticos y ninguno funciona,es más uno de ellos parece sacado de un punto limpio.

Was not mentioned the item was used and it not works
Contacted Head Office and has been informed customer is responsible to test the item before bid
I said that was impossible to test the item at auction site and they replied customer still responsibel evan if they don’t give conditions to test
The name if this for me is fraud

Most dodgy company, bought laptop was no mention of faulty when received it no life at all! Contacted customer service not taking any resposibility and nothing can be done.

"Good experience"
Good experience. I have made numerous purchases over the last month or so and everything I have received is as per the description and lot pictures. The majority of the items I have bid and won have been non-electronic items that were new and boxed. The few electronics I did buy were based on the photos of the relevant lots and all the ones I have tested worked when they arrived.
Delivery costs can be a bit expensive though, especially for multiple larger items because you pay individual delivery costs for each item rather than the cost of the pallet for all the items. In saying that the delivery costs are displayed for each item so it's up to you whether you want to shoulder those costs or not.
All my purchases have been online with no inspections, hopefully my luck lasts! I have not had to deal with customer services so no comments on that.
