If you were inspired to check this before bidding/buying on this website I can say you are a bit luckier. I usually check things but this time I didn’t.
I won some products on auction but when I got them they were faulty (watches) or clothes were overused.
I sent email to the company and they responded that you approved the t&c, also there was an option to see the product in real (sure, by travelling to Edinburgh from London) so no money back.
I did some chargeback with my bank for some of the products just waiting for a response.
Update January
This scam company received the chargeback but they wouldn’t accept it as I do not have one single watch out of 15.
I am now planing to take them for the court and that is for the sake of the way they do the business by selling rubbish through their auction.
It is your decision if you want to bid on their products

AVOID like the plague. As you have probably read from other reviews, they take absolutely no responsibility for what they sell. Even eBay would refund your money if an item you buy doesn't work and has not been described as such. They don't. Chances are whatever you buy won't work and all you can do is putting it in the bin. I really can't think of a reason as to why anyone would buy from these people. I bought a vacuum cleaner and all I can do is throw it away.

UPDATE: You can see by JP's reply that all those reviews about non-working items is just they way it is for them. As any people with two cells of brain would know, there is a significant proportion of things you just cannot test on your visit (if you are able to visit at all). For instance, Will they allow you to plug in a charger to see whether a vacuum battery is kaput or not? Obviously not. So, best course of action, avoid this company. They are just a bunch of crooks, which hopefully will go bust soon.

I am unable to visit the warehouse so I just look at the pics posted on the website.....the last time I received a different item from the one in the pictures. All the items have LOT number stickers on them so I trusted the good fait of the website but what I received was clearly not the item from the pictures. The pics showed a new item with still the plastic on it, I received a mouldy scratch one, it was an iron and it was pouring water from I don't know where I don't think it was safe to use.

To be clear I contacted John Pye customer service on this problem several emails later Rom from Head Office told me that any reliance on the description or photo on this site is at your own risk.

Won items from Birmingham showroom for home delivery.
Email saying items packaged awaiting carrier,nothing further weeks later enquired "online tracking shows delivered"
Had no contact at all from FedEx.
Despite my details being correct it was sent to someone else,at a completely different address.
Now awaiting a refund
Will definitely not be using again

What was once a useful site - have now become on the verge of scammers.
Technical items are usually faulty - other items regularly have missing items.
Customer service are dismissive and rude.

Thank you for your standard response covering yourself about inspections prior to bidding. Can you confirm that bidders are allowed to bring tools/sockets/screwdrivers with them during the inspection/viewing to check for internal issues/damage as the product I bid for was faulty/damaged internally which prevents the human eye seeing. If you are going to hide behind your ridiculous statement then inform bidders that the product 'may not' be in full working order or sold as spares & repairs.

Total rubbish they are selling goods that are not fit for purpose
First microwave bought was was wrong make & was able to return for full refund !!
Second microwave did not work & was told to read terms & conditions & NO REFUND
I also bought 2 timex watches for twins grand daughters xmas & only 1 worked and again told to read terms & conditions
They say sold as seen !! how can you test a microwave at a auction ???????
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING THAT COULD BE BROKEN AS THEY DO NOT CARE

I have spent many thousands here. Some good deals, some not so good (straight in the bin) Recently I had a £39 new item missing from my order. Complained. No real response other than fill out a form. So I went to the card company to deal with it. Their response, close your account 😂😂 want an utter bunch of jokers. You turn away good business because you have thieves working at the Chesterfield branch. Great business practice 👍👍 I have no problem issuing county court proceedings to get my money back and contacting trading standards. I even spent another £800 with you since the missing item. Obviously no regard for customers. IDIOTS.

"Not at all what was advertised "

Purchased a bed it was advertised as ‘superking divan ottoman bed base with headboard’ it has arrived and is not what was described and is only a double bed not superking. We had got rid of our existing bed day before as don’t have anywhere to store 2 beds and are now without a bed as put mattress does not fit on the one a John Pye sent. We didn’t need to look at the bed as it was advertised as ‘superking’ . Having to fill in their paperwork online about an error with the product but doesn’t help us store the bed whilst we wait for the error to be fixed. Very disappointing. The bed is not damaged and in good condition no complaints there but if a bed is advertised as super king in the listing this should not need checking by the customer as I expect the listing title to be accurate .
