"Worthpoint Worth the Price!"

If you sell online you need sales information that is more than 30 days old especially for seasonal items or items not sold on a daily or weekly basis. Worthpoint offers this service and for a very nominal fee you can have the sales data you need to determine a fair market value price for your item.

Like any other "program" it will take a few minutes to study and learn how to use it. Those who do not like it have not taken that time in my humble opinion for once you understand how to use it to its best ability you will wonder how you ever did without it in the first place.

The small cost per month is greatly offset in higher selling prices for your items.

"GREAT SERVICE -- Bad Reviewers Don't Understand Conditions"

Worthpoint.com offers exactly what it says it does: millions of sales results that I use to identify and price items that I sell on eBay. I hemmed and hawed about joining, but was told by friends that Worthpoint is the best place to find the data I need. I use it several times a day and hes helped my make more moeny than I would have without the service.

Now, as to all of the low and bad reviews I've read here and other places about this company. The free trial is EXACTLY as it says it is, and if these people had read the conditions, which are clearly stated, they would not have a complaint or they are looking for something for nothing. You get seven free lookups or seven days. If you do not cancel before then, you are charged for the first month. Simple as that.

And to complain that the results are just eBay results, that is not true, either, and then, so what? I have seen items that have sold at auction houses and the EBay results go back several years (2007 at least) and eBay's own old Sold Listings only go back 3 months!

Don't believe the bad reviews. Worthpoint is totally worth your business and made my business MORE PROFITABLE!

"RUN AWAY-DO NOT USE-SCAM & FRAUD-INACCURATE INFO-USE EBAY"

I signed up for their 7 day free trial, looked up 1 item, which was incorrect in value. Cancelled the service the next day, by phone, because they billed paypal immediately. Day 5 still no refund, sent email message cancelling and phone call message AGAIN. No RESPONSE!!! Day 7 called again, had to leave message, sent email cancelling again! NO RESPONSE
Called again Day 10, left message, NO RESPONSE. Contacted Paypal, disputing 19.99 charge, report to BBB and filing complaint with consumer
fraud with AG office Atlanta, GA. COMPLETE RIPOFF SCAM - AVOID!!

"NOT HELPFUL AT ALL!"

I have quite a bit of inherited antiques, silver, china, oriental rugs and antiquities acquired through world travels. 99% of the items listed on WorthPoint come from Ebay! I have done my own research and fared far better than WorthPoint. I also agree with the other reviews about the 7 Day or 7 times Free Trial. It is a scam!

"DON'T TRY THERE FREE LOOKUP YOU BE CHARGED 19.95"

I tried there free lookup, 7 lookups or 7 days, I looked up 2 items and then a page popped up saying activate your account. So I did but I didn't know that this lets them charge you $19.95 for a month of lookups. So I found out later! I looked up 2 items and canceled my subscription. When I asked for a refund I was sent a form letter stating that I looked up to many items and activated my 1 month account. O and my account was shut down so a got 2 lookups and 2 hours for $19.95. This is fraud. I paid through PayPay and have opened a dispute.

"Data very patchy and out of date"

Firstly, you probably shouldn't give Worthpoint your credit card details for the reasons others have stated on their reviews unless you are very brave! Secondly, just don't waste your time and effort. You can search without registering (and you get the same results as a paying customer or on trial - just without the prices showing). What you will notice is there are typically results from early-mid 2014 or earlier and then next to nothing (or nothing) more recent, even when you know there have been recent sales. Compare to a sold listings search in eBay and Worthpoint simply won't have all the data for completed sales. It is a great idea for a service, but the patchy quality of the data and the dubious business practices of the company in terms of credit card charging make it fairly worthless.

"Scam!"

I also signed up for just the "free" trial. My card was charged right away. I cancelled within an hour of signing up and they refuse to refund me saying I clicked on some button and that activated the monthly membership. I better not get charged again. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB as well. What a rip off this company is!

"Total Waste of Time and Money"

I accepted the trial conditions on a friends recommendation. Unfortunately, her experience was from years ago. From the first entry, the website response was faulty. I was interested in only one painter and her work. Initially the site claimed to have prices for 84 paintings. It was incredibly frustrating to keep entering the search only to have excuses come up as to why there the promised results were unavailable.

The call to terminate service was difficult (long wait time, inability of the service rep to handle the call etc.) and ultimately required another call. When there was no refund issued, another call resulted in being told, with absolutely no apology, "you used your seven inquiries". My explanation of prices not being available meant nothing to the representative and I was told there was nothing to be done. Other than "Tyler" who showed some personality as well as interest in helping me, the phone representatives do a poor job of disguising their contempt.

Please stay away from this site unless you enjoy being duped. I'll be writing to Consumer Affairs and BBB, the only recourse to this unethical company.
