"untrustable, bad service"
Everything went smooth for one year, then "maintenance" was suddently expired. Soon after, they purely cancelled a lifetime licence without compensation, only 15 days to backup everything (which was impossible due to slow recovery). As an alternative, they offered an "upgrade to business plan" which was in fact only with ColdStorage (1TB/25€/year).
No warning. No apologize. Bad communication. Very disapointing. I would not recommend Zoolz, BigMind and all of companies of the brand. Be warned...

EDIT: in reply to zoolz: OH WOW. Do you know the meaning of "LIFETIME" license? LIFE - TIME, yes. We all paid for a lifetime license, now you want money because our plan is not valid anymore.
That's ridiculous.

They canceled my lifetime subscription with short notice to take backup or upgrade.
They did offer a discount for upgrading to business. But this completely ignores that when I subscribed it was called a lifetime subscription.
Someone must take legal actions against this company.

"Purposely blocking file restore so you upgrade."
Like some other lifetime users on this thread, I had to go through heaps of back and forth support emails before they "applied new changes that should solve any previous issues you were having with the restoration" and eventually be able to restore my data.
So those of you waiting at 0% for 12 hrs+, don't expect any restore methods on their website to work until you go through the back and forth email chain with support proving you tried each of the methods (which they secretly know themselves not to work and buy time before the Oct 15th deadline). This process takes days. They eventually check a box on their end (or something to that nature), send you an email with the above wording and then their website and restore software will start working as intended and you can restore your files at that point.
I think what they did here is way worse than shutting down lifetime accounts (even though this is already unacceptable unless they are going broke) because they can hold ransom customer data at any time for any user, business plan or not. This type of behavior at Zoolz, along with BigMIND, and Genie9 should be criminally investigated.
While I'm relieved and thankful to get my data back, I'm still annoyed that my lifetime plan wasn't really the lifetime (of the company) as agreed.

As others have mentioned, Zoolz has cancelled lifetime paid plans with very short notice to retrieve data. The service is terrible. Software is just timing out trying to retrieve my data. The support team trying is useless and can't solve any of the problems. Only offering refunds to very recently signed up customers, so most customers just lose their money. Don't trust this company with your data!

same here: cancelled a lifetime plan after 2 years, without refund (except the switch to a discounted business plan), within 15 days.
I understand that they want or have to give up the lifetime plans because they miscalculated - business is challenging and changing - but this can be done with fair conditions and respect.
After I complained and got some standard text module mails, they offered 2 free years and thereafter a reduced price for the business plan. But I declined, how can I entrust my backups to a service that acts like this?

Maybe I am just stupid but I really thought 'Lifetime' meant lifetime... or at least as long as the poxy company was running.
Foolishly, however, it turns out that lifetime just means as long as it takes them to work out their business model was flawed in the first place.
Somehow they think they can just change the terms of agreement, terminate your contract and tell you, you have 15 days to download the data from their ridiculous service.
To be honest, the interface, the service and everything about these criminals sucked in the first place, so it's better to be out of it.
Good luck ZOOLZ with you abissmal business and I really hope people now see all these negative reviews you are getting.
