"What are Whistl actually paid to do?"
I don't understand what it is that Whistl are actually paid by companies to do, other than hold our paid for goods hostage for random periods of time before finally allowing Royal Mail to deliver them. I placed an order nearly a week ago and the item has been sitting in the depot (according to tracking) 5 full days with no sign of movement. Utterly pointless and incredibly frustrating.

"yet another review that should be ZERO"
yet another review that should be ZERO, placed an order with Elixir Garden Supplies, who unknown to me use WHISTL, they passed the order to them on 24th Feb, status of all four tracking numbers showing as "collection scheduled" and like so many others the order has gone totally astray. There must be a warehouse full of all these missing orders.
Don't deal with any company that uses WHISTL. Can't even get any answers from Elixir as they failed to ring back and don't now answer their phone so avoid them too. Will be investigating how to report them to trading standards

"Tracking"
Whistl asked me to provide tracking details for a lost parcel mentioned on Trustpilot. This appears to be the only way to reply. Parcel sent 7 February. L12612111003137074

"Whistl courier leaves parcels wherever"
Whistl courier leaves parcels wherever! One was left by fence outside my garden although courier stated they had handed it to me. My latest parcel was left by gate after dark in pouring rain and only discovered the next day - contents and packaging soaked

"Another disappointed reviewer"
Placed an order via Amazon several days ago, delivery due in 3/4 days ....almost a week later goods had not arrived. Then received an email from Whistl saying that the delivery is delayed. Upon checking the tracking number it appeared that the item had been collected by Whistl and was 'in transit' and had been for some days but not yet at the Whistl depot...where has it been for well over a week? Why oh why do companies use a courier with consistently poor reviews as have Whistl. Don't they read the reviews prior to choosing their means of dispatch? Surely they realise that a poor courier company reflects upon the seller and their business and the more information they have about the courier companies the better to choose a reliable one. Unfortunately the couriers a seller uses is often omitted from their dispatch details so the buyer is unable to make an informed decision whether to buy from them or not. There are plenty of good reliable couriers out there - sellers do your homework and read reviews before risking the ire of your buyers when their goods go astray or delivered late.

"Well done Whistl"
I stupidly missed that I had given the wrong postcode to the seller of my book. The tracking showed as 'delivered' but then shortly after, delivery rescheduled, then in transit. It has arrived today (Sunday) with a new sticker added with the correct postcode. People often review only when they want to moan about bad service (sometimes justified, sometimes not) but I feel its important to balance it when things go well. I am impressed.

"Incredibly slow delivery."
Unfortunately Music Magpie use Whistl, and items can spend up to a week in Whistl's system before being handed over to Royal Mail for delivery. I've had items from Music Magpie take two weeks to reach me. I think Rarewaves use them too.
I don't understand why they're so slow, and it's put me off using Music Magpie.

"Found in a pile of leaves by the gate!"
Out for delivery 3/4 times according to tracking, unexpected problem etc. Left outside lights on to make it easier to find the house in the dark on each occasion.
Found the item this morning thrown over the gate amongst leaves etc. Apparently it was delivered yesterday.

"Deliver to wrong address support does not work"
I got a parcel. It's not my parcel, someone else parcel. Of course, support does not work these days.

"Paid for the item five days ago, still not delivered"
Paid for the item five days ago, was dispatched by seller instantly. Yet the tracking has been stuck on the 'at depot' message for two days, with no item in sight. We have tried live chat but they have only told us the same, that the item is at the depot, but they can't provide any more information, just told to contact the seller, but they have just said the same. So we have no idea when the gift will arrive. Yet if using royal mail direct we never have had an issue.
