"Terrible experience; Terrible customer service; Issue never got fixed!"

My washing machine broke and I contacted Capital Repairs relying on what it says on their website - working 7 days a week. I was hoping I would have my issue sorted quick and efficiently. They made me wait a week for the first visit - 1st red flag - when the engineer very confidently allocated the issue to be a not working pump, he charged me £93, 63 for labour and didn’t give me a receipt. I was chasing the company for a receipt which I eventually received 2 weeks later with the amount of £88, 68 which is less than what I was charged for - 2 red flag! Eventually the pump was ordered and a week and half later another engineer arrived to replace it. The washing machine did not start working after the replacement which the engineered clearly saw but said that he needs to leave and someone else needs to come visit again and allocate what the issue is - 3rd red flag! How is it possible that an engineer doesn’t know how to fix a washing machine?! After calling multiple times and even insisting to talk to the manager of the company I’ve been told that indeed was incorrect from the engineer to do that but unfortunately they are very busy and I just have to wait another week or more for someone to come check the machine. Overall my contact with Capital Repairs was for 1 month resulting with my machine not being fixed, and I was charged almost £200 for that terrible experience. I did switch to another company who came visited me on the day I phoned them and allocated the issue to be the board, which was so burnt that they said it could have caught fire if I would try the machine running once again! This is so dangerous and shocking how “specialist” from Capital Repair managed only to diagnose incorrectly my issue and charge me for something that is not even the problem! Agents over the phone have no customer service whatsoever and the comoany’s policy does not take under consideration satisfying their customers and taking care of their needs, but only rip them off. I will be investigating further this scam company with CitizenAdvice.

Although it took 4 weeks to get the part (hence 4 stars not 5) , once it arrived, the engineer (Dan) was professional, quick & thorough. Did the repair, gave useful information & checked everything before he left.

This is the first time I've used Capital Repairs and I will definitely be using them again. They give you a 3hr window so at least you don't have to stay in your house the whole day. The engineer Ali was so professional, kind
and polite also very knowledgeable and knows how to do his job well. I was very pleased with the service he provided and I highly recommend.

"Worst Service"

Worst Service. Charged full call out fee to SW8, for 10 minute inspection of Washer, advised only new brushes needed (approx £25.00)...then told 2 days later a new motor needed instead (@ £250), even though drum still turned. Receptionist was going to investigate...never heard back.
Given up on Capital Repairs and ordered a new machine.
