"Have so far paid £108 for a 5 minute…"

Have so far paid £108 for a 5 minute (and 3 of that taking payment) call out to diagnose (not fix) something on our fridge freezer that I had already diagnosed (Capital Repairs fixed it previously, 18 months before, the fault was obvious). Then the engineer on the second visit didn't make it inside the house unless I would come out to sort the parking meter for him "because it's Saturday and there is no one in our offices".... A further visit was booked for 3rd November and as of 14th November still hasn't shown up. Then when I called yesterday there was no record apparently of the last visit having been arranged, the guy I spoke with seemed very suspicious and then tried to get me to pay for the part, which I had been told on previous call would be chargeable when fitted, given I had already paid £108. So he's gone to listen to a recording of the call to prove that I'm not lying.... still waiting for him to call back 1 day later. Quite the negative experience, will not be using them again after this, despite having previously used them for years without issue.

"I had tried different tradesmen before…"

I had tried different tradesmen before for my gas hob issue but no one could fix it and many never even called back regarding the job. I came across Capital Repairs through Google. It was easy to get an appointment and when Romeo the engineer came he was not only very professional and fixed the gas hob, he was also a lovely guy! Great service.

"Worst repair company!"

The worst repair company I have ever encountered! Extremely incompetent yet rude customer service agents. Can’t get basic things right. Repairs take months due to the high levels of incompetency. Absolutely appalling.

"AEG Washing machine"

Had Jason visit, he was good and explained what the problems were. For follow up visit he was very thorough and made sure everything was okay before he left my machine was behaving very strangely. He was very knowledgeable and wanted to solve problems. Think sometimes it depends on the engineer ypu get as to the service you receive.

"More than 3 weeks to repair washing machine"

Took more than three weeks to complete a simple repair on our washing machine after a series of errors. First, the engineer lost the information needed to order the correct part. We then didn't hear back for eight days, so we called and were told the part had arrived and we should have contacted them to arrange the repair, something that was not explained previously. The engineer then failed to turn up twice, and both times we were only offered another appointment five days later. Submitted a complaint via email and have only just heard back after 10 days with no offer of compensation. Only reason I have given two stars is because the engineer who eventually came to complete the repair was great. Overall, a terrible experience and we will not be using Capital again.

"Avoid - A waste of £113.88"

Had a cooker door that was not staying closed. Engineer came - a 10 minute advisory visit - costing £113.88 - carried out no work at all. Engineer - a waste of space - just wanted to get on to his next job and said I needed a new door that could cost £200 plus fitting, although customer services said that any parts would be fitting in with the initial labour charge. Customer services when I paid did say that they would come back to me with the price of the door and catches which never happened.
Remember before you call Capital Repairs out that nearly 1 in 6 customer have given 1 star negative feedback. Maybe you should think about contacting the manufacturer, or buying a new product, which agian the engineer said that they could supply.
I ran Capial Repairs thinking that they could save me money but instead cost me extra money.
To improve customer service when no work is carried out and they have a 10 minutes advisory visit they should only charge accordingly - say £35 - and not rip customers off if the work is uneconomic to repair.
The cooker was a £600 cooker only fault was the door not staying closed. Don't waste your money with them. Read the 1 star feedbacks.

"Error after error from the start"

Error after error from the start. Poor communication, incorrect appointments booked, a total farce. Simple microwave repair took a month to resolve with me chasing them for answers and completion date. The only positive from my whole journey with Capital Repairs is to never use them again. If I could, I'd give zero stars, deplorable. I've complained twice, not heard anything in reply. Avoid avoid avoid at all costs. My extended warranty was purchased via John Lewis in March 2020 with Capital Repairs being responsible for this. John Lewis have yet to respond to my complaints after advising I'd hear within 24 hours, that was over a month ago. Disgusting service.

"Oven repair sorted"

Capital repairs assisted me with an oven repair issue. They were prompt in making appointments and the engineer they sent was both friendly and professional. He identified the problem and resolved it with new parts. Very happy.

"Wouldn’t fix my oven but charged hundreds of pounds"

Waste of money and time! They misdiagnosed my range, sold me parts, charged me a second call out fee and then said they wouldn't install the part that would fix my oven because it's not from the original manufacturer. I'm out hundreds of pounds and had to find someone else to actually fix it. They also took two months to get to this point and they want to just sell me a new range. Terrible service.
